Rough night. Had a patient come in from a house fire with 3rd degree burns on 60+% of their body. I can't get the smell out of my nose. I tried putting raw honey on my skin. I mixed it with unsalted butter and saliva. My skin became very soft and moisturized. I read about this combination in the past but I don't know exactly how it works. I assume the enzymes in the honey break down the dead skin and the butter's fats, which makes those fats more readily absorbed by the living skin in the area. The saliva's enzymes might digest parts of the honey and alter how it interacts with everything in the area.
