So, I took a listen to the playlist you sent me and I was actually pleasantly surprised. It was lowkey nice, I especially liked track 1 and 7. It reminded me of games like runescape (i never played them but my older brother was a massive runescape fan), or table top games, and the tolkien series (i havent read them but they are on my list if books to read.) It gives the same vibes as snufkin from the moomins. It also reminded me of that one sound on tiktok, the gnomes vs Knights sound, you know the one. This one:https://youtu.be/LWi_wCtLW90?si=v78IhR-WuKLhFiBqAnd i like that sound alot. I found out that it was under the tenzelcore sub genre? Not quite sure.I was a bit sceptical, but you proved me wrong anon. Im gonna listen to that Mortiis track later today (hopefully).
>>83790317Isn't that literally TikTok music?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4B2tnognu4
>>83790317NTA, but you should also give a listen to Quest Master & Hillsfar, they've got that sort of runescapey thing going onhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7myUzfTUfQhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QBLYYeRvyk

>>83790317Hi again anon, I'm glad these are your impressions after giving it a listen!I had a feeling you'd enjoy it and thankfully I wasn't too far off then.Btw please tell your older bro someone from 4chan says he's based lmao. And honestly 2026 is surely a great year to read the LOTR saga.Do you think I will manage to eventually convert you into a fan of dungeon synth? <.<>the gnomes vs KnightsWhat? I'm not very familiar with this lol, what is this about?>I found out that it was under the tenzelcore sub genre? There's some influence and overlapping in genres yeah. You may even say they're the same to some extent. Main difference is that you'd never really go to a dungeon synth concert, or dance to it. Instead you'd have dungeon synth as background ambience for old RPGs or D&D campaigns in someone's basement, but the "essence" is quite similar.>>83790455These are so great, thank you for sharing the links. So good to have a dungeon synth thread here today.

Made this song with the Earthbound soundfont for my friend's indie game. He said it sounds like dungeon synth.https://voca.ro/1oAmWiUwWD92
>>83790729>2026 is surely a great year to read the LOTR sagaRight? I have heard so much good about them i think its about time i give them a shot.>Do you think I will manage to eventually convert you into a fan of dungeon synth? <.<I wouldnt say its a stretch. Its just that dungeon synth doesnt make me as hyped as thrash does. I like to run while listening to Thrash metal bcos i feel so energetic with it on. Dungeon synth i calmer, very ambient and nice, but it doesn't make me as fired up. I may come to like dungeon synth, especially when i am going /out/. It feels very mystical, imagine walking through a boreal forest with these tracks on. absolute cinema. >gnomes vs knightsIts just a meme take on fantasy wars between different races in this case gnomes vs knights) it became a trend i think 1 year ago? it was a really good trend too. They would use dungeon synth music. look at this vid.https://youtube.com/shorts/8agunWwNLXE?si=mVcZjnMqNy0jUqzdThere is lore to this i don't know the full story either, but these videos were pretty funny back then
>>83790317>varg pic rel>didn't know about dungeon synthI don't habeeb it
>>83791009Well i listen to him because he was a terrorist. I wanted to se what the man was on.
>>83791051I appreciate Christian churches being set on fire as much as the next respectable person, but I'm just saying his musical focus since he went to prison for said arson has shifted entirely from black metal to dungeon synth. It's just difficult to imagine someone listens to Burzum and doesn't know this I know you do
>>83791071I would say I'm a burzum listener, more like I heard about varg, stumbled upon filosofem and thought "hmm this is pretty solid icl". I havent heard anything else of him. I knew he did dungeon synth, but I want really interested.
