stop consuming scare-mongering media and thinking that the narrative espoused to you by your social media feed or news is objective reality. realize more people were deported under obama and clinton administrations per year (without egregious media coverage or protests) than under the current administration. The change has not been a dramatic increase in deportations. even if it ramps up, it won't be as substantial as the media makes it out to be. It's the spotlight that is being shown upon them. If you are here legally, go through the normal route to become a citizen - join the military, etc. Coming in illegally is unfair that go through the process the legal way, equivalent to jumping the line. The US's processes aren't even that bad compared to other countries considering. People need to question why companies/forums/etc or the news decides certain issues are "newsworthy". Question what you are being told, and think of it more as what they are not telling you. Keeping you trapped in a narrative bubble is a perfect way to distract you from reality and pull the wool over the sheep's eyes.
