Threads on here linger for days now, this board used to be extremely popular where you'd be lucky if your shitty thread lasted 90 minutes, now anyone can post some bullshit and it'll last half a week. Where did all the people go? Discord? Reddit? There's really no obvious 1:1 replacement for this site, so it's kind of confusing to me

>Where did all the people go? Discord? Reddit?
X, probably.
But the slow kill of 4chan is intentional, I think. I also heared masses of people get banned for no reason.

The topics here are shit, that's why people left.

>The topics here are shit
The rest of the internet is worse for the most part.
>>
people are getting filtered out by captchas

It should filter the bots, not the Anons.

>Where did all the people go?
The election refugee types left for xitter now that it's lenient on edgy stuff. Many of these were also warded off by things like extremely long wait times, restricted posting in incognito mode, the hack and frequent captcha changes.
A lot of other posters just post less frequently since there isn't much to discuss.
>>
>>83937527
How long does it take you to solve a captcha?
>>

Where though? Aside from niche hobbyist forums and altchans with barely any activity, there isn't really much out there.
>>
Half of this site is just ragebait tiktok and twitter screenshots now

It's a complete wasteland.

I see this with some hobbies, most notably Ham radio. Boomers throw out ideas on how to attract teenagers to the hobby that never pan out.
The truth is, both ham radio and 4chan are extremely niche. Not everyone needs a place on the internets to call someone else a nigger kike. Normies don't belong here and we shouldn't lay out a welcome mat for them.

telegram, reddit and yeh niche forums
It's much easier to find a mathematicians' forum than to search for mathematicians on 4chan, don't you agree?
>>
>>83937607
>search for mathematicians on 4chan
I actually never did that.
>>

Threads are not lasting nore than 3 1/2 hours. Sort by bump and scroll down.

i am in general
All of 4Chan's features (collecting intellectuals, trolling, underground memes, etc.) are no longer its specific feature and can be replaced by any platform. It makes much more sense to create a forum of 30-40 former 4Chan members, adding new smart people, than to sit on 4Chan.

I use 4chan for entertainment, so that I don't feel like drinking alone. And for shitposting.
It's rare that I have a reasonable conversation with an Anon, but that's not a problem.
>>
>>83937809
I think this is a form of entertainment that could easily be replaced by other platforms \

The internet as a whole is on its death bed. What was once a near infinite realm, is now a handful of near dead remnants slowly rotting away. There used to be dozens of active image boards, most are gone now, and the few that remain are lucky to get a handful of posts a day.
>>
>>83938130
It's great because it means I spend much more time on actual hobbies instead of reading sad blogposts and bait.

the real robots killed themselves and psyoppers and normies pissed on their graves for too long. the robots who didn't moved elsewhere, or stopped seeking social interactions
