>>83963630I am part-time employed, read books and listen to music, and have no significant other.
>>83963727Any particular genre of books?
>>83963777I mainly read novels. I was reading Dune, but then I decided to read King Lear (Shakespeare) instead.

>>83963564There is no relation between adhd and autism and there is no relation between asperger's and autism. DMS is not the world authority and even in DMS 5 they actually technically still make the difference.Furthermore, I'm sick and tired of you tiktokbrained retards larping as having mental illnesses of this class. Not only does it make it impossible to find people with the shared difficulties we encounter but it minimises strongly what we go through. When you see us in real life you shun us just as any other normalfag as well, all the while using autism as a "shield".
>>83965969but I do have ahdh
>>83965969Sorta barking up the wrong tree saying /r9k/ users are socially functional. I doubt people here are larping about struggling. Thats why a place like this might be good for those demoralized.
Hiya, can I join? I dunno if I have autism but I do have some social anxiety.>Are you employed?Yeah and I hate my jobs>What do you do for fun?Make music on ultraboxListen to musicShitpost on r9k>Do you have a significant other?HAHAHAHAHAGAGAGGAHAHAAAA!no
>>83966508There is a massive gap between "being a little shy" and having a mental deficiency that totally prevents any kind of normal interactions and cannot be addressed by any means, anon.
>>83963564>Tell me about yourself. I am a Man>Are you employed? god no>What do you do for fun? drink and browse>Do you have a significant other?lord no
>>83966526I mean often I get so overwhelmed I can't talk and have to write things down. It's not the biggest sob story in the world but I feel like it crosses the threshold into real struggle. The adhd makes it really hard for me to understand people's voices and often basically become deaf in places where multiple people are talking at the same time. Sometimes seemingly small struggles can become difficult in daily life.
>>83966551Since you seem a little dumb maybe this illustration will clarify. You can't go to a random african village where all they get to eat is dirt cookies and say "I am also starving because I'm allergic to peanuts IN AMERICA!!!". This is just not the same thing. They don't even know what a peanut is.I hope this isn't too abstract. I'm happy to think about a more practical example otherwise.
>>83966565I just figure wouldn't we be from the same favela because we're verbal and able to socialize? When I was in school my friends had aspergers. They're still my friends and peers.
>>83966611No, totally different things. What I mean is that if the thread is about "people with social issues" then sure, it's all the same. But to continue with the peanuts: you're saying that people who die when exposed to peanut dust are the same as those who don't like the taste of peanuts because they both avoid peanuts.
>>83966619I see. Sorry if anything I said offended you.
>>83966623It's 4chan. Even if you had been egregious, who gives a shit.I am more simply disappointed than offended, and mostly at people who actually call themselves autistic when they mean 'a bit shy', as well as OP for putting together adhd and autism like they're in any way related except for the pathway they affect (and then why not also include OCD which also works through the same pathway in large parts?).Back to the peanuts: we need more 'peanut-hater' threads and less 'peanut allergies' threads. First, the latter has become a dogwhistle of sorts so the real people who really have the problems listed can't actually participate. Second, the former is much easier to work with: no assumption and bullshit labeling is required, it includes more people, and it unifies people based on outcomes rather than upstream condition.
>>83963564>Are you employed?yes>What do you do for fun?politics>Do you have a significant other?a few girls up to around 20yo, but from then on it's clear people can feel something 'off', my social skills didn't keep up as people around me matured
i am unemployed, on social security. i have tried working, jobs like cart pushing/stocking shelves, but i always end up melting down and walking off the job etc.for fun... i sit here in front of the p.c. scrolling, sometimes i play games, but they are so boring these days. sometimes i make noise with synths, sometimes i draw, but i hate my lack of artistic skill.i am very alone, and i am mostly fine with that.
