i was at my unis anime club, we meet on Sundays just to chat about stuff and also decide whats the theme / anime for next friday. theres only like 4 of us and its a comfy two hours talking about different shows and maybe watching something.then about half way through this huge group of guys just walks in and kinda take over the whole conversation and vibe, were talking about video games and not anime anymore. I dont know much about vidya so I cant really contribute. thyre literally /v/tards IRL, with the same opinions, flame wars, etc etc. every time we end up on youtube watching some /v/ shitpost. I had to sit in a room with about a dozen IRL people, who are actual people, at my uni, and listen to the /v/ sings chud cover of radiohead creep.i walked out when they started playing charlie kirk's assassination in minecraft youtube videos. i just wanna small talk about anime, this is literally an /a/ thread getting derailed by /v/tards but IRL, its surreal. and this happens every sunday. the worst part is its highly likely theyve never visited 4chinz but just got oneshotted but containment leak on tiktok or smthn.

And let me tell you, if IRL becomes the game, it's like 10 times better then the best game you've ever played. But most people have to be wagies which is not a game, thats just toiling.

I do find myself doing vidya and not anime lately I think it's because I'm getting older so the magic of anime isn't as much.
