I think I have a gf. We met online 2 months ago and ended up hitting it off. I asked her to be my internet gf in a kinda jokey way, but I was sincere, she bantered back so I said how about we drop the online part to which she said yes. We live on the opposite side of the world from each other but we are planning on meeting irl soon hopefully. Shes physically attractive (not fat, symmetrical face, my type) and has her shit together, im a NEET and my life is kinda a disaster atm due to circumstances outside of my control but even at the best of times im not exactly husband material (autism/ocd, addict to treat the symptoms). Shes not materialistic at least. Really she gave me a chance because of pretty privilege, we also had a deep conversation about how we both find it difficult to connect with people but we have formed a great connection.Im pretty sure im falling in love which sounds crazy since we havent met irl. Its scary, going through heartbreak was extremely painful with my first gf and lasted much longer than it should have. I was so scared of it happening again that I purposely kept emotionally distant from my second gf which was unfair on her. My current gf is super low maintenance compared my previous ones which is awesome, not having to play jester all the time and being bombarded with calls/texts. Shes made clear that she would prefer that she doesnt want me to pay for things for her when she visits nor does she want to have a typical holiday, its just for us to get to know each other irl, though i will buy gifts. >>84006309i mean after the sharty hack that seemed kind of inevitable but it is also fairly late at night on a tuesday in february in amerikkka and every other website is basically 4chan now in at least certain cornersit's kind of weird how the entire internet switched to ephemerality and chaos while 4chan which was known for both became fully archived and indexed and a lot more contained, even while still hostile. the entire attention span of the internet went down the drain which is well documented but so did the irreverence. and kind of a loss of innocence in a sense. not so much a literal sense of anything being innocent or corrupted since it was always that way, but in the way that people could be easily entertained for a while. lolcats, listicles, quizzes. things are just primed for maximum outrage and arousal which makes sense after a decade of data mining (via said quizzes and more) and optimization for social engineering. the engineering used to be human, though, with some sort of creative or philosophical sentiment behind it. not just purely algorithmic.
