My friend cut himself down to the fat recently. He tried to tape it up as well he could but was shaky, it was bleeding a bit, and he started to pass out.
Is there anything he should keep in mind with wound care?

how's it going btw?

>>84010410
Only thing I will add (again I'm not an expert on this specifically) is that if it seems like the bleeding isn't stopping on it's own, he might need help. Without knowing any other details, that would be my biggest concern is figuring out if it is or isn't the kind of thing that requires stitches/medical intention. Going off whether it stopped or is still bleeding a little is probably first thing to consider. Obviously, that's a scary situation to be in but last thing he wants is a wound that isn't closing right.

So I don't lose sight of what matters.
>>Is there anything bothering you right now?
The McDonald's hiring process is ass. Unlike every other company that autofills based off a resume or previous responses, you need to manually provide every detail to McDonald's each time you apply to a job. And this is after talking with the chat assistant for a good 2 minutes (where you fill the exact same information).

>It covers previously unadapted manga material.
best case scenario.

>I feel like with the top anime out nowadays there has to be some good fanservice even if I don't really watch them.
i think it's just the amount of content and how much the way it get released change over time. back then japan filtered most of the irrelevant shows before those even had a chance to get released in the west. now we have simulcasts on streaming services, which means that most people watch shows subbed now and then the really big ones get a dub some time later. which probably counts as fanservice now.

>I've been a kawoshin fan day 1 when I watched eva the first time halfway thru high school
i got six volumes of the manga, but didn't buy any more and never watched the show, but i don't really know why. i enjoyed the manga well enough. i guess i just missed the opportunity to get drawn into it.

>Also agree Mari is such a literally who and her addition was super lame
i'll never recognize her as part of the story or franchise. she's on the same level as any other fanfiction self-insert.

>he could've made something new instead of the millionth eva retcon.

>that's got to be very isolating
it's taking it's toll on me, that's for sure.

>We all care about you and want to see you happy :)
thank you. hearing that from time to time helps. (^-^)
>>
>Mental health takes work, just as much as physical health does
that's true, but that nobody can tell me what to do regarding my physical health really drags down my mental health and i because of that i've lost all will to try. i've been working on myself for over a decade now and it just gets worse and worse. trying so hard to achieve things that seem effortless for others hollows you out.

at least you got a stash of games you can fall back on when there's a draught of good releases.

>I could probably play then now if I started sticking to something vaguely resembling a schedule...
hard to do when the game really sucks you in, though. maybe you could do it when on vaccation?

>your democrats is our far left
not economically for the most part with a few notable exceptions. But anyone's guess when the baby boomers die off and it becomes harder to rig it for wall street picks
>>84012467
>weird thing to get hung up abou
asians are the only group that you see people act openly condescending to here still so she gets a bit annoyed understandably.

>>84012640
>What'd you think of it?
It was a bit of a gauntlet at times because it felt like nothing was really happening for the first bit till you get with the flow (and sections were like those weird MGS cutscenes where they talk over a screen with random pictures on it were a bit jarring), but it grew on me as it went on to be interested enough to see how it goes.
It's a bit disjointed and very very weird, but not bad. Some parts were a bit much, but it had interesting themes, some of which are ahead of their time considering when this aired.
Also the moments of awkward pauses and things that were (un?)intentially amusing made it so it wasn't boring even before I was drawn in more.

i don't disagree that i did, but i have the lingering feeling that watching that show would upset me more than it's worth at this point. i'll think about it.

>now theres basically no curation so we get endless slop that's been subbed instead of the rarer (but guranteed) dubs being brought over.
doesn't help that there so many services that you miss half the good shows because you never hear about them in the first place. you can hear the monkey's paw curl.

>>84012978
>not a bad part of the country
i can imagine. not caring about the fuss and misery in the rest of the world has it's perks when it comes to community.

>not economically for the most part
while true, that's also the part of their programm that's up for debate. in the end they'll always implement the economic positions that benefit them most, no matter what they promised before. they're the same brand of identity politics and those tend to be non-negotionable.

>asians are the only group that you see people act openly condescending to here still
wonder where that's coming from.

>she gets a bit annoyed understandably.
i suppose, but i'm not sure that lashing out at people over their choice of attire is worth it.

>misery in the rest of the world has it's perks
hard to care about the stuff going on in the rest of the country or world when your only focus is feeding your family. These states are far removed from the rest of the world and very very poor compared to where I live. Makes sense they ping pong back and forth when neither party represents them for real.
>wonder where that's coming from.
some people either don't like them because they're different and don't assimilate as much, but also some because they don't care about politics as much and just want to make money. My gf has also gotten shit for dating me and it's pretty easy to see when that happens.

not a very surprising result, if you ask me. everything he's involved with takes a nosedive. what does surprise me is how long borderlands has been limping along now. got the latest one for free with my pc, but i don't think i'll play it. i'll just listen to ain't no rest for the wicked again.

also makes sense when people like that just go for whoever seems most disruptive to the political system that ignores them.

i can see that. problem is not when a few people don't, but when every foreign community simply refuses to. still no reason to antagonize individuals of that ethnicity, of course.

All the Nier/Drackengard and Xenoblade games. That and the 100+ Steam games I still haven't played.

Makes sense in Europe and traditionally homogenous countries. Less so here where there hasn't been a cohesive group for a while. I mean, even my family is Catholic and till recently those were impossible to be real Americans too
>you'd think that would be a positive trait.
you're supposed to be mad about how oppressed you are, not making money and outperforming everyone. My gf got in trouble with some kids at school because they were trying to force everyone to take a sticker to support Palestine and she said she didn't care about any of that stuff since it has nothing to do with her country.

>The one time my phone almost died while out and about was pretty scary. But with it I'm usually fine to roam wherever.
i feel you. i'm really bad at navigating places i've been to before and have problems with making mental maps. nice that you feel safe enough there to explore.

>I think the only games I'm excited for now are the new Tomodachi life
what's that?

those will keep you busy for a while, that's for sure. i've only ever played nier automata. it's fun.

>That and the 100+ Steam games I still haven't played.
those are just an investment that will pay you back some time later. don't worry about it.

>I have a friend that enjoys it on some level
they're somewhat competent looter shooters and you can play them singleplayer or in multiplayer without them being live-service or battle royale, which is rare, so maybe that's part of it. i only ever played the first one and was good after that.

>he plays them with the character's voices muted because they're too annoying otherwise.
very relatable. claptrap drove me insane even back in the day. it's probably only gotten worse since then.

>In what way?
just looking very good to me, which short-circuited something in my brain. doesn't happen often, so that really threw me for a loop.

>Makes sense in Europe and traditionally homogenous countries. Less so here where there hasn't been a cohesive group for a while
there hasn't been a cohesive group or culture here for a long time either. the issue is when then a group appears that is and makes you feel like you have to fight it before it completely takes over. shit's going to get really ugly here at some point.

>even my family is Catholic and till recently those were impossible to be real Americans too
catholics are always suspicious in that regard that technically your highest authority is the pope, so they can be at odds with nationalists. in the case of the us you can also make the point that a lot of early settlers were kicked out of their countries by the church, so there's some animosity there. the only reason it's not a prominent issue here anymore is because people are fed up with the institutions and are leaving the churches in droves. i think we had about 25 people getting a degree in theology here last year against about a hundred priests retiring in the same time.

>you're supposed to be mad
isn't that the truth. good she isn't taking any of that.

>they get really really mad about this which is a genuine phenomena I've seen many times
sure. it means they lose power over you since they can't shame you into obedience anymore.

>>84021172
>do you like it that way or would you prefer it to be normal
it's just a few hours since someone has to open the store, so it's fine. can't meet up with my friends to finally resume that campaign we were playing anyway, so it's not a big issue.

>I went to ikea got some hotdog and pottery cactuses :D

I had a little thing with mine too a day or two ago, and she went very rare and cold for a while, i hate dry texting and my brain went into red alert, the wait made me cold sweat and nauseous unironically. But once i realized my irrational brain was afraid that we're breaking up over this, when we're very obviously not, which she also made clear, i was instantly calm.
Then after we gathered ourselves we talked about it and it turned out great, we said what was on our mind and laughed about it and everything was back to normal

For me it's the Frieren shilling, I don't hate the show but being lauded as a masterpiece with nothing especially unique about it's premise or execution makes it seem like it only got popular for being comfy and memeable. Maybe I'm hating for no reason tho I've only seen clips and read whatever people have said online
Also I finished YuYuHakusho finally, liked the ending. I hears people rag about it online but it was fine for me. Finishing the whole thing also made me like Sensui more as a villain, his motivations are a lot less on the nose but I still find him very interesting. Watched the Two Shots OVA as well and it kinda sucked, think I'll watch Ezou Hakusho and forget about the movies.

maybe the pandemic spooked them into it.

now that i think about it, it was one of the last compelling story-driven games i played. great soundtrack as well.

alway good to have someone in the know, especially when it's not really worth it to follow someone that toxic just because of their antics.

>It's much worse according to him. Dumb robot ruined Poker Night 2...
didn't they also try to make some tabletop rpg inspired game? i remembet that being really grating as well. they just can't write dialog and their choice in voice actors is... questionable.

nah. i mean, i had a woman missing half her nose coming in to buy cigarettes, but why stop at that point, right?

they've earned that ire, but as long as you allow institutions to wield unsupervised power over people, it will always have the same results. religions, education, sports, politics, industries. same shit.

heya cat, how's your day been?

hey yuanon, how's it going?
> it will always have the same results.
pretty much. Religions have the added dilemma of trying not to look bad as an institution trying to maintain appeal as moral authority, which I think escalates it worse since people doubting moral authority is bad. So they opted to be actually immoral, instead of doing the right thing and not covering shit up and making the sensible case that priests aren't infallible while cooperating with authorities to punish them.

hiding criminals from prosecution flushes that moral authority down the drain for good. not that running around and trying to scare people into obedience using morality as a cudgel is very positive behaviour in the first place. odd how most people who excessively use that word always fail to show even the slightest hint of it under any kind of scrutiny.

not bad. Good work out and got a lot done. Just feeling particularly drained at this point
>not that running around and trying to scare people into obedience using morality as a cudgel
the one downside, and I don't mean this as a huge defense, but modern Catholic church in America at least is the least worst offender when it comes to this. They obviously adhere to their traditional morality, but aren't as in your face and aggressive about it as some of the fringe denominations they have here who have almost no tact at all. Lot of people leave catholic church for those and not sure that's a great outcome.
>familiarity breeds contempt?
is what it is. Just makes me feel awkward when someone is saying something wildly inappropriate in public and I'm just sitting there with a look on my face like "you said it, not me" hoping I don't look like I agree.

Is it really that novel? The only media I've picked up that had demons as anything besides unilaterally evil was YuYuHakusho. Maybe I'm just disconnected from the zeitgeist but demon slaying seems more the norm if anything
>about to kick ass while the rest got theirs handed to them.
Chapter black had a good finale, demons yusuke looks seriously cool. Let me know what you thought. Also, what happened with fire punch?
>how did they manage that?
The original anime aired in 1992, the OVA came out in 2018. The first part is a manga adaption, and the second is some weird anime only bit about fighting spirit world terrorists. Lame artstyle, shoddy dub (no dub at all for the 2nd one), with the non-existent personalities being the worst part.

Me too.
>a bit like the sims, but with less influence on what's happening?
That's pretty accurate. I think you're given a bit more influence in the upcoming game and I'm not sure how to feel about that. Part of the fun was that Miis would just make friends/fall in love at random.
>maybe the pandemic spooked them into it

>anime makes a bunch of changes from the manga which I like for the most part so far.
did come out at a time where anime was more loose with adaptations than they treat things now. Crazy how that was the norm for many many years. Guess attitude towards anime has changed from the days it was mainly a vehicle to sell more manga I suppose
>I assumed it was just a couple dumbbells and a bar, nice having a full setup.
More than that, but less than a full gym. I have extendable dumbbells (go up to a 110), a rack with pull up bar, a couple barbells, bunch of plates, and attachments with cables and pulleys for pull downs and rowing that combine with the rack. Honestly, only thing I think I really miss out on is being able to do targeting on some leg workouts, but the money I save just building a nice at home set up isn't bad am terrified of doing bench press to failure at home though so...
>What's your split?
I think I talked before, but I do pretty typical push, pull, and legs day, the first two twice a week the later one day. Pull day today which now consists of hammers, barbell curls, preachers, and a couple sets of weighted chin and pull ups.

It is. I think it's purely for the love of the game at this point, and that's nice to see. The Brothers Chaps clearly care a lot about it.
They even put Strong Bad in a tv show they made.

My tablet represents socializing, emotional comfort, and autonomy, things consistently taken from me, being involuntarily put in a cell just for being suicidal (not even an attempt) and having those things stripped from me again is horrible, its punishing me for suffering, the systems just exist to continue my suffering they dont even care
>>
>>84037366

The Aquabats are a band that the the H*R people have collaborated with a few times. Why that is, I'm not really sure. They also inexplicably got a tv show that Matt Chapman wrote for so I guess they just put Strong Bad in an episode for the hell of it.

I felt depressed. The adrenaline rush felt good.
>Is there anything bothering you right now?
The fact that the world just keeps getting everyday. I have no idea what I'm going to do with my future. Nothing makes me happy anymore.
>>
hi, i'm new here but i need an advice about what to do because chat gpt isn't helping anymore.

i have been severely depressed for many years, (since about 11). I drink, smoke, cut (this one since I was 7) and take a lot of painkillers usually without a reason.

I have been trying really everything I could to get out of depression (i would take 3 hours walks by myself, force myself to shower everyday, study a lot (and got high marks too), do a sport and I even managed to stay clean from cutting for about 2 years but then relapsed).

But I still really want to kms and if I only think about the fact that I should keep on living it makes me cry and sometimes sick.

I go to therapy but it's useless because they won't give me medicine until I'm 18 but said (and I completely agree), those would be the only thing that could actually help me. (So I still would have to wait 3 years).

I really have no idea what to do I really want to end it but I'm scared honestly. (I would also accept advices on which is the less painful way to do that since I cant figure it out).

I don't even want to get better or be happy I just wanted to know if anyone had an advice about what to do just to stop feeling this way, or what to do in general. Please; thanks.

to me, that sounds like it would be harder since localized things are always centered on people who live nearby, whereas bigger ones you have people from farther away who are less likely to have connections to everyone else and surrounding area. At least, how I felt talking to people there and why I felt it was easy
>Comfy show, would recommend watching.
> shame it's so homogenised now.
weirdest part for me is going to instagram and other parts of the internet and seeing people echo talking points similar to things on here (and often /pol/ as well). Something really strange about this to me as someone who's been on 4chan since late 2000s.

hey rm!
>oh interviews?? new job?
interviews for a new job, yes. Still a long way to go though
>how did everything go?
so far so good, but have to see how next round goes.

hope everyone had a good time

> March came fast
it's going to be so warm here end of the week. I'm excited
>those you twist a knob and it gets more/less heavy without piling more weight on.
I know what you're talking about, but don't think I've ever seen them irl, only in pictures being sold. So actually wouldn't even know where to begin guessing. I'm always distrustful of fitness gear that's more complex than it needs to be. Even if it works, being simpler also usually means less likely to run into a problem if something stops working.
> pretty vain and lifted for looks
honestly, i see absolutely nothing wrong with this mindset. Past a certain level of fitness, there's really not much real world practical benefit to lifting heavier anyway. I think the best reason of all to do it is simply that you enjoy it of course though

morning cat!
hope your monday is off to a great start

Hello everyone. I couldn't leave well enough alone and now I'm paying the price and have been crying for the last three hours.
I resumed posting on my blog a while ago because I needed somewhere to vent, I suppose. After realising that I'm only making an ass out of myself by doing that, I decided that I'd post somewhere privately instead. Last night I made a post explaining that, and saying that if my ex wants updates she'll have to ask directly. I don't think that was unreasonable.
This was enough to get her to reach out again. She sent an email with a short, handwritten note attached, asking me to hate her and move on, and saying she still checks my blog multiple times a day (as I still do for hers). I think she's trying to move on as well but can't do it either. She's still planning on sending me mail and asked me not to move. I replied with the same desperation that I always do.

I feel like I've made two steps forward and three steps back. Maybe I'll get some comfort food before everywhere closes.

I hope vidya can be a good detraction for you.
Try not to worry too much about the future, just focus on getting through the day.

>i really should get a powerbank for my internet router
You can get some pretty big capacity ones. If your outages last <10 minutes consider getting a UPS.

>it is going to rain often now?
>some part of asia have a wet and a dry season
We don't really get wet seasons here, just weeks where it rains a bit. Even now it's a pretty light drizzle.
>here the they like to mess around with the dough or use something entirely different
Weird. The dough is usually fine here, it's everything else that's off.

>Grim
Such is life where I used to live. It's not much better here, honestly.

Maybe it's just an England thing. My sister feels the same way.
>seeing people echo talking points similar to things on here (and often /pol/ as well)
I've noticed this too and it's very odd to me. Yet 4chan is still considered a scare place.
