I don't get why anons here hate meds?

Most of you are sad and depressed cause your brain has chemical imbalance. So take a med that brings it back to state where life is enjoyable

they don't work for me and they were a huge waste of money and for me personally they made me feel like shit, but that's just me.
cigarettes and caffeine work better for me
>>
>>84210181
Meds killed my cocku. Sure, they stabilized my head well enough to make progress in life, but at what cost?
I got a gf now but I can't fuck her and cum inside her. She is also on meds and has no sex drive. Bad deal.
>>
>>84210181
I'm schizophrenic. They "fix" me by suppressing those chemicals.
>>
>>84210188
Have u tried Wellbutrin? Mirtazapine? Effexor?trazodone or MAO inhibitor >>84210196
Sex is over rated
>>84210207
U should be thankful
>>
>>84210181
SSRIs cause sexual dysfunction which can remain even after stopping the meds, look up PSSD. if it werent for this side effect i would go on SSRIs

Thankful for what? My life fucking sucks because of my condition. Foids and normgroids probably think I'm an inhumane abomination.
>>
>>84210235
For meds what meds do you take anon? I'm curious

Do you to abilify or Quetiapine
>>
>>84210224
>Have u tried Wellbutrin? Mirtazapine? Effexor?trazodone or MAO inhibitor
no, I tried luvox and prozac and then I gave up
>>
>>84210248
I'm on a long acting injection and a mood stablizer. I tried those. Seroquel is awful. Sleepy all day. Abilify didn't do shit. I still hear voices and am deeply depressed.
>>
>>84210249
Those are SSRIs you need to experiment more that targets other neurotransmitters, have you done any research on this >>84210263
The costs must be astronomical
>>
i like meds that actually have picrel effect on your brain, aka adderall. most anti depressants barely do anything except make the severely depressed slightly more stable but still depressed. if youre only moderately depressed and its mostly because your life actually is kinda shit they dont do shit.
>>
>>84210268
Well, I lied. I don't take the mood stabilizer. I probably should, but I can't be bothered to. insurance pays for the injection.
>>
>>84210282
Have u tried experimental therapy like signing up for university study or pharmaceuticals testing out new drugs
>>
>>84210271
>rolling on adderall
>ahh is this what normal people feel like
>>
>>84210268
I'm good, I don't want medication, even if they helped make me feel good they wouldn't fill the void in my life
>>
>>84210181
SSRIs are fucking evil. So many bad side effects for something that only works above placebo on a fraction of patients.
Other antidepressants are similar. I live in Australia so psilocybin treatment is legal but only for "treatment resistant" depression, even though I've had psilocybin before and found it incredibly beneficial, I'm unable to get it as medication without paying a psychiatrist to prescribe me all the shit I know won't work or won't be worth it.

there's only one thing that would cure my depression

No such thing as a chemical imbalance in the brain. That theory has been obsolete since 2018. Depression and PTSD are caused by neuronal degeneration (in other words, the connections in the brain that let you feel happiness, relaxation, etc. have literally physically shriveled up and died). Fortunately, we discovered the cure when we figured this out. Yep, it's literally shrooms. Traditional antidepressants are inferior.

This anon gets it.

Traditional antidepressants don't even outperform a placebo effect in the short term. Shrooms pretty much immediately annihilate depression.
>>
>>84210518
Can you link the study? I took some neuro classes in my bachelors and would love to read it.
>>
>>84210512
Why is it shrooms?
>>
>>84210549
NTA but there are lots of pathways that they work through to treat depression and anxiety.
Psilocybin is chemically similar to serotonin and activates its receptors of course, but it also stimulates neuroplasticity and neurogenesis.
Depression and anxiety are classified partially by overactivity in the amygdala (flight/fight center) and underactivity and even degredation in the hippocampus (memory, learning).
The shrooms basically act as a brain reset and allow for regrowth. The neuroplasticity allows for new habits to form.
This is really oversimplified, there are tons of studies you can read.

It's really important to note that they do have side effects btw. They can make things worse and trigger schizophrenia/psychosis. It's uncommon but something to keep in mind.
>>
>>84210298
I'd rather not. I'm just going to collect neetbux to substitute my suffering. I can barely bring myself to even get out of bed.

How to get shrooms in bonglandiastania?

>Why is it shrooms?
The brain is able to naturally physically change (neuroplasticity), but it's not guaranteed; and it happens very slowly (months to years) even when it does happen. Shrooms (and most other psychedelics, plus a few other drugs) induce extremely rapid neuroplasticity (hours to weeks), meaning the physical basis for depression and PTSD is simply eliminated at the source. In other words, shrooms make your brain cells start to regenerate until you can feel a normal amount of happiness, relaxation, etc. You can see that, for shrooms specifically, it only takes two sessions to get over half of people to no longer qualify for depression. The specific class of drugs that rapidly induce neuroplasticity is called psychoplastogens.

>>84210578
This is true, but it's worth mentioning that you'll only get schizophrenia or psychosis if you're already predisposed to them. Psychedelics don't "give" you schizophrenia. Also, some pharma companies have discovered nonhallucinogenic psychoplastogens as well (although they're all synthetic and patented, meaning they'll be harder to acquire without a prescription).
>>
>>84210588
Check if there are legal clinics.
Otherwise chuck on a vpn and do some research. Foraging is easy.
>>
>>84210327
>>84210588
Since psychedelics are increasingly decriminalized in certain places they're beginning to straight up sell them on the clearnet now. You can check r/legitclearwebsites (yes I know reddit cringe) but the most trustworthy site is fractalelephant.com. Only downside is that it's slightly more expensive but it's totally vetted by people on the subreddit.

I just looked it up, it'll be years of trying every other drug and treatment before i'm eligible to ask for KETAMINE, and there's no legal way to get shrooms. There's clinical trials down in london but that's a chance of getting placebo lol.
Idk i'll think of some way to get them maybe, i don't want to be tripping balls either so it'd microdosing or whatever.
>>
>>84210638
Nta but you may as well take the plunge and trip on them. If you account for your mindset and setting then the fungus will be very kind to you and show you what you need to see.

OK satan.
In all seriousness i don't even know what this sentence means. I just want to be a normienigger and dispel the ennui
>>
I mean, how do I account for my mindset and setting lol?
>>
>le chemical imbalance
Shitty flawed theory latched on by Pharma Jew. It's been thoroughly debunked yet everyone is brainwashed to believe it, even psychiatrists believe it. I got evrn more fucked when I was on mood stabilzers.

>>84210303
This so fucking much. I cried like a bitch when my first dose kicked in and my mind was completely calm except for that loud ass 24/7 tinnitus Abilify, Geodon, and Effexor gave me and still have.

>mindset
Do it when your mind is clear and you don't have any major stessors (or at least any new ones).
>setting
Alone at home with no plans for the day/weekend.

The way they have you take shrooms therapeutically is you literally lay down in bed with a sleep mask on and only break focus to eat, drink water, use the bathroom, talk to the therapist, etc.

If you wanna do more research on it (which is always a good thing) then go look up "responsible use" "harm reduction" and go to the bluelight forum, the psychonautwiki, etc. Even just getting advice from reddit would probably be enough.

I don't do anything all day every day. Does that count? I'm a shut in so there won't be any therapist.
>>
>>84210747
Yeah that's perfect. Just do it when you're not super stressed about life or anything. You might be able to replace the therapist with an asmr video or something lol (speculation).

Because they don't work or affect libido negatively.
Also the endless prescriptions and pharmacy bullshit.
I'd rather stay a recluse and cope with binge-drinking when I have the 'bux to.
