Do millennials even have any culture bro?Like, zoomers have their cool lingo and looksmaxxing stuff and what do millennials even have in comparison?
Reddit, Nintendo, legos, etc.But it's irrelevant, all culture has been slop ever since the TV was invented. The written word is dead and that's where true culture emerges from.Zoomer culture is even more brain dead however, like oh yeah it's so cool watching a 40 year old man child with severe gum disease grind this corporate slop.triple aaa title that's not even enjoyable to play let alone watch someone else play.
>>84234838Fucking your mom on repeat
>>84234838The one you're in right now zoom zoom
zoomers are social media cattle and millennials are stuck in the 90s, gen x are boomer lite faggots. all cattle
>>84234838We millennials came up with ALL of that stuff 10-15 years ago like "looksmaxxing" etc and now that it went MAINSTREAM zoomers think they invented it. search those various "zoomer terms" in the 4chan archive for proof from 10-15 years ago.
world of warcraft is more cultural significant than all that zoomer stuff
>>84234920well, actually, i guess that's just because us millennials who specifically lived on 4chan were just so far ahead of the curve, but yes WE invented all of that shit first. i guess the average "normie net" millennial which accounts for far more in number than us based millennials, while being an entirely different "beast" than us (a gay faggot beast btw), was probably behind the times compared to us. anyway, idc anymore, because zoomers will never realize they just commandeered what we were doing 10-15 years ago but now having stolen our shit and made it mainstream won't let us millennials participate anymore in the very shit we invented.
>>84234920>>84234933another reason idc anymore is because yes i'm getting too old to have a stake in any of it, there are no millennials anymore as a group we have fractured into cells which hate each other which is something that happens to every generation that reaches over 30. we are not a "collective" anymore. young people are the hivemind collective, always have been. they think they'll STAY as that hivemind collective but they won't. everyone eventually becomes untethered from their foundation and drifts away uncontrollably in ways they never expected after 30
>>84234947and what causes you to become untethered from your foundation is a new generation (alphas) starts coming up with new shit that starts erasing your shit and by 30 your shit begins rapidly dying across the internet and that "foundation" you were tethered to literally ceases to exist, it gets rugpulled out from under you. then every millennial (in this case) just flies off into the void in different directions until we are no longer a hivemind collective but radically deviated and all hate each other
>>84234878>Reddit, Nintendo, legos, etc. That's just one subset of millennials, but I think it points to the real core of millennial culture, which is nostalgia. Maybe it's because we were kids in one of the best times in history and then watched everything go downhill after 2000 but pretty much everybody, no matter their lifestyle, politics, etc. is into old shit, like even if you're the polar opposite of the reddit stereotype you probably fucking love old trucks and muscle cars and get all wistful thinking about the days of Dale Earnhardt and Rusty Wallace and Mark Martin in NASCAR or old pro wrestling or whatever, or you have a penchant for G3s and FALs and 1911s and other WW2-Cold War guns, or whatever.
>>84234959or its just life. People get jovs, start families and dont have that much time to indulge in culture, as they have too much work with everyday life, so the hivemind crumbles.
>>84235053Not quite, nostalgiafagging itself was just a symptom of a deeper malaise not really exclusive to millennials. It was born from perceived drift from authenticity as corporate creeps into culture more and more. Buttrock and mtv pop prevalent at the time was seen as fake and gay, so naturally the reaction was either: to dress like a prohibition era guy while drinking s.oy latte from a mason jar or dressing like a street hobo because what more gives street cred than being a man who calls the streets his home am i right? And they didn't do it because it was the "millennial" thing to do either, the diy aesthetic coexisted parallel to peak lady gaga and taylor and t pain and daughtry ffs with lots of intermingling going on, there was no single millennial collective. Kids have just always been doing their thing, its just that that the legacy media that used to put the boundaries between what culture is x and isn't and what is y and isn't didn't survive the internet.
