They're ridiculous because they can't work in reality unless both sides find each other mutually ugly. Because of the imbalance in sexual desire between the genders, it's usually men who want to fuck, but women can want to fuck too. If you put a Chad in proximity of a woman, she wouldn't want to just be friends with him either.
