What's the point of being a good person if no-one recognizes it? Not some wishy washy faggy spiritual answer, seriously what is the point of doing good things without external validation, assuming that deed disadvantages you?
>>84273515it feels good to be nice and good
>>84273524>Not some wishy washy faggy spiritual answer
>>84273524It feels good to be choked while sodomized (I imagine of course), but I don't see why that would makes it worth doing
>>84273515there's none, being good benefits others. most of us have automatic beneficial psychological response to being good to others. some adapted to cope through divine justice or karma rewarding them. that said ill always try to be good because i hate how shitty people are and the only one i can directly change is myself
>>84273515A lot of what is good is in line with what will benefit you in the long term. Someone who chases after vice and doesn't control his temperament will more likely become a slave to his impulses and desires, and struggle navigating life, whether they're relationships or other trials. As for spiritual answers, at least you'll be content on your deathbed and free of guilt or fear of what's to come.
>>84273528feel good is not spiritual. It makes the day to day more bearable
>>84273515It increases your social standing with that person, as well as those around who observe. Could create a tit for tat kinda situation.
>>84273545no i don't imagine that feels good at all
>be absolutely vile person>no one cares or bats an eye??????
>>84273515it makes you like yourself, most people dont want to be people that they hate
>>84273515the thought of it is ugly and heavy weight to have a carry around with you >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqN0jsSeqPoand i m very lazy.
It's just human nature to be nice. Deep in the animal part of our brains, our brains reward us for doing nice things by making us feel nice. That's why way back in the stone age even before settled agricultural society, and back when it wouldn't have had much benefit in the narrow social darwinism sense, humans took care of their weak, sick, and unproductive brethren. It's just natural.
