Anyone else hate talking to people if its not face to face? I deeply resent phone calls, face time and texting. I dont know if im a selfish cunt who doesn't want to pick up the phone or if I got a point here. Is this what self isolation looks like?? Its not like i dont like talking to people, I do, but there is something so invasive about people having the opportunity to contact you whenever. I like to spend time alone, but maybe I should inconvenience myself and just pick the damn phone up.
>>84278348No I hate texts and calls too. I'm such a retarded and awkward sperg if I can't see face and body language. Irl I can be normal with ease.
>>84278357Don't you find it so fucking weird that people can just contact you whenever? I find it especially bothersome to have long calls. Its so tedious and you constantly need to find things to talk about.
>>84278348Isn't it the opposite?I like texts better because I can reply whenever I want or just ignore it and it's less awkward to give short answers and evade
I don't really care what way I talk to people all that much but I donut have a car to come visit you. You seem to be interested in making me bend to your will because that's what most of you seem to want.
>>84278348>Anyone else hate talking to peopleYes
>>84278451The only reason I talk to people is because I or they need something. Evading a text message or ignoring a phone call would just be annoying for either party. So, given the opportunity, I just go see that person face to face and fulfill whatever my purpose is for talking to them is ASAP.
I liked life pre caller ID and pre texting. When someone called it was like Christmas kinda, you never knew who was calling and it had to be someone because only people you gave your number out to had your number. It's not like today where you have zero privacy and literally get spam calls and texts from random bots and scammers because your number is everywhere. You used to be able to see people's phone number on Facebook too.
>>84278472>I just go see that person face to face and fulfill whatever my purpose is for talking to them is ASAP.Hating the phone calls seems redundant at that point it's no different than you or them looking for each other
>>84278480I hate this zoomer purgatory. I never got to experience this.It all makes me incredibly frustrated because I dont want to come off as being rude or ignoring someone but I dont like calling. I have friends and family that live far away and while id like to talk to them, I cant stand calls.
>>84278348yes. my phone is always in airplane mode and i take it off every other day to see if anyone called. sometimes my timing is bad and my family gets mad but it is what it is. sometimes its almost tortuous for me to have it on because i cant forget its on. i also suspect that me thinking of people who could call increases the likelihood they think about me ever so slightly and therefore may actually call. i also hate the doorbell. just hearing it in movies and tvshows gives me the creeps
