Have you ever taken a swimming lesson?
I chuckled at that gifNo, I've never taken a formal swimming lesson. I learned how to swim from my parents, some relatives and asking other people.
i have only done the swimming lessons in the school's curriculum, those were nice but really tiring
I taught myself how to swim.
Im white so yeah
what do people mean when they say they can't swim? if i dropped them in a body of water, they'd just...sink?
>>84281830That gif is funny.I've had both swimming lessons from a teacher and of course the schools curriculum.I don't think that to learn how to swim you'd need any of that though, just be cautious and let your parents teach you.
yes it used to be part of our curriculum
I had swimming lessons at school and I fucking hated them. I'd sometimes get my mother to write notes excusing me.I'd like to check that I can survive in a pool, but sadly public pools are so crowded that I have no interest in swimming there.
>>84281954They mean they can't control their movements in the water, and might ingest enough that they'd struggle to breathe. If they have high muscle and bone density they might be less buoyant as well, but probably not enough to "sink" per se.
>>84281830No? I'm not a 6 year old wtf
>>84281830Yes, I've had many swimming lessons. They were a mandatory part of the primary school curriculum when I was a kid. Also my local council provided free swimming lessons at the local municipal pools. So my parents enrolled me in that on Saturdays mornings when I was about 10 years old.
My dad used to take us swimming all of the time but never taught us anything. We just learned by being in the water.
>>84281830>perfect way to make kid never ever trust strangers again
>>84281830They were mandatory in my cunt as part of regular school and parents normally teach them how to not drown when you're about three or four. School swimming lessons were more athletic and sports type of lessons
>>84282045>If they have high muscle and bone density they might be less buoyant as well, but probably not enough to "sink" per se.I was a skeleton in school and couldn't float. For 6 month we had half assed school swimming lessons and I realize I can't float on the back as other pupils did taught by teacher. I just sunkk unless I made maximum inhale but I can't breath then, as soon as I exhaled my mouth and nose went underwater.Good thing I already knew how to swim learned by myself playing on the river's beach all summer.
