Honestly I don't think something like that ever worked out into a normal conversation for me. I will probably just abandon it when they don't respond for a day. There was one girl who was actually my friend. She had an insane way of handling it. I would actually see her typing into my dms for few minutes at random times and occasionally receive several page essays. She would also have lapses in responses without that and sometimes argue with me about whether she wants to talk to me or not instead of just saying yes or no.
