i am a 22 year old man and i still sleep with a teddy bear. is this very common?
>>84335396yaim 20 and i have some plushiesbut also normal toysi need something to clutch onto in bed, otherwise i cant sleep. my dad tried to make me stop and it didnt work
I sleep with my sex doll, so I guess that kinda counts.
That's actually very cute, anon. Just don't let anyone in IRL know. It will become a mocking point for a man to do it.
>>84335410i like them anon, theyre very cute, esp the big happy piggy>>84335415i-i... dont know if that counts?? >>84335419is it cute or weirdly infantilei would never tell anyone irl ofc ofc tho.
>>84335396snuggling with my sherpa blankie just isnt doing much for me anymore so ive been looking into very large plushies body pillows latelyim much older than you and i dont think its super common
>>84335657i have a body pillow sized thing and i dont really like it, but im short so it feels like awkward to snuggle. hope you find something comfy and suits you
Not overcoming childhood trauma is an ick
>>84335690i dont have anything to overcome i just need something to hug and cuddle. ill never have a partner so my teddy is all ill ever have
>>84335396probably, I was 30 years old and I loved sleeping with a stuffed bunny rabbit,
>>84335671there are so many cute plushie ones in so many sizes, and the nice part is that some of them have unique shapes which make it seem like they would be nicer to snuggle with instead of just of just a body pillow shaped onethis one is 4ft long and i like how it gets smaller near the bottom>>84335690im just snuggly thats all :3but i do understand that can be an 'ick' also...oh wells, thats what the plushies are for
>>84335460>is it cute or weirdly infantile>i would never tell anyone irl ofc ofc tho.NTA but depends on who you talk to i suppose, if its something like a sleeping habit where you sleep better clutching it close to your chest or just find holding something like that makes things easier to sleep, then its neither but rather just something you became accustomed to, I sleep with the bible, with my hand on it as I fall asleep or just always by the side of my pillow, and I'm sure someone out there would mock that,
>>84335707what happened to ur bunny?>>84335710that does look cute and cozy, ya i think thatd be better than the glorified noodle i have>>84335727i like hugging him and holding him. i feel insecure in my bed if im not touching him. i also sometimes talk to him or cry while i hold him to feel better.
>>8433539622 year old woman, and I do the same, but it's a plush monkey from when I was born. I wouldn't say it's common, especially not for a man, but it's not bad. Like I would never tell someone I was trying to court that I did that as I can understand it comes off as childish, but if someone I was in a loving relationship found out that I did, I'm sure it would be seen at best, endearing, and at worst goofy/dont care. It's not such a big deal that you should ever feel worked up about it, or try to stop if that's whats most comfortable to you. I know it's whats most comfortable to me because I have pectus, so it's always helped to have something inside the dent
>>84335396Thats actually cute OP. Keep being (You).
I have mine in my room still watching over me It's around 60 years old ~ Dudes gonna live longer than me
>>84335767its cool youve had your monkey that long. i got my teddy only a few years ago >>84335782thx>>84335799do you keep it on a shelf?
>>84335396I am 22 and I sleep with a blankie.
>>84335396Yeah, it's okay. Just don't go around telling people about it IRL. They'd never get it.I had a cotton blanket since my cradle years until I was 26 when I had to throw it out because it was disintegrating. It wasn't a safety blanket or anything, but it felt soft and cool but also coarse after I washed and sun-dried it, so I would take it everywhere and rub my face against it when I was anxious as a way of stimming.
>>84335895What I meant by "everywhere" was at home, in private -- not at school or somewhere elese. My parents never bothered me about it until I threw it away, probably because I kept it clean.
>>84335460>is it cute or weirdly infantileCuteness is inherently related(but not limited to, there are also more symbolic aspects such as the meaning of a ribbon) childish features, so, both.
>>84335868childhood blankie?>>84335914nothing could replace it then eh:(>>84336907i guess that explains other things too. sigh
>>84337190>childhood blankie?yes
