What do you do? How many hours? How do you get through it?

I only work 12 hours a week and its still the worst part of my week and i dread it every week.
>>
>>84346765
I work 8 hours a week, but it's a very chill job, as chill as it can possibly get, that's why I can handle a full-time shift. I don't want to dox myself but let's just say I basically greet people and ocasionally lift light stuff
>>
>>84346839
I dont do any heavy lifting or anything, but I do have to do a lot of customer interaction
>>
>>84346765
Anywhere from 25-45 hours depending on work load.

Lots of driving with some manual labour. I work in the electronics recycling industry. We recycle a few other things too but it's mainly electronics.

Work gives me something to focus on, so it's not bad. Sometimes I get pissy if I do a lot of 600+ km days.
>>
>>84346866
damn 45 hours seems like it would be living hell
>>
>>84346765
I would 40+ hours a week. I'm an engineer and I enjoy the work so it's not a big deal for me.
>>
10~ hours of heavy lifting 3~ times a week. i get through it by either thinking nice thoughts or listening to some podcast. oh. and alcohol in-between shifts. it's soul crushing and arthritis inducing, but i'd rather do that until i physically disintegrate than go back to customer service.

>What do you do?
Post office
How many hours?
It depends on how much we get for the day and if I feel like zooming. Generally I get around 40 hours a week. I hate it.
How do you get through it?
As fast as I can usually. I hate the job and I have applied to fifty other places but all I keep getting is rejections and I keep beating myself up over it all. I am in a rut and I have no idea how to get out of it. Holidays are the worst and working in the snow and in the blazing heat sucks. If I dont work then how can I survive?
>>
I'd work A to B deliveries with no customer interaction. From storage to distribution center. Is long-distance deliveries the only option?
>>

>What do you do?
Work in a big company, kinda hard to explain what I do but I basically fix all types of issues.
>How many hours?
8h + 1h for lunch, 3 days at the office and 2 at home.
>How do you get through it?
The company culture is really stressful, no mistakes allowed, no concessions allowed. My salary is terrible but I have a lot of responsibilities.
I try really hard to not think of offing myself. I banish the thought from my head immediately cause otherwise I'm not sure what could happen.

Everyone works.

Even breathing is work.

>>84347881
True but some people get paid to breathe who are on ssi etc...

I was a neet for most of my adult life. I tried everything though. From IT, to teaching, to software development and a million little jobs in between. It wasn't until I got into bookkeeping and then accounting that I just felt good. I have a solid job. Respectable. Genuine adult responsibilities. No one asks me anything about my job. I just put my time in, and collect my food ticket. My autism lends itself to accounting more than shit like programming and IT for whatever reason. No one at the office considers me human enough to hold a water cooler conversation but the entire building respects me because I take care of fucking everything financially in just a 40 hour work week. My pay keeps getting bumped up and I don't have to put up with office politics.

Genuinely, to any autist who wants to change their life, look into getting a couple free quickbook certs, then take some ace credits from study.com or sophia. Then complete an accounting degree from an online place like wgu in a single term, letting fasfa pay for that single term. It's a quick way to unfuck your life for practically free in less than a year.

i work at amazon. i work ~21 hours. i got a accommodation to not work the flex. at amazon we are set to four hour, the amount of packages that are coming threw the building we work more hours.
>>
>>84348952
How is Amazon? As bad as everyone says?
>>
>>84349144
no just going to be sore from picking up packages.

I only work three days a week at a warehouse pushing boxes. It's stupid and depressing. All my coworkers are really sad looking including me. This is the place all overly complacent lazy failures are corralled into. They forced me to work so this is what you do when you live like this you put the little thing in the box and push it down the line
>>
>>84346765
I work about 20 hours a week and it's the most miserable shit ever. Also, don't wear picrel. If your coworkers and boss find out you're ND, they'll do everything they can to fuck you over.
>>
>>84349369
Do you drive the fancy van thing or have to use own car?
>>
>>84349473
How physically demanding is it? can you bs with co workers? show up high
>>
Work 45 hours a week, its annoying but i have no other option
>>
work 32 hours a week. after i pay my bills i have about 100 bucks left after each paycheck. i want to die every day and i cry often but there's no escape
>>
>>84350233
whats stopping u from saying fuck it? Im not saying you should but I have an easier life than you and still think about it daily.
>>
>>84350285
my family member is too sick to work and they would be fucked without me
>>
>>84346765
heavy machinery welder, 40 hours a week
When you git gud enough it becomes pretty daydream/dissociation-friendly so I usually think about anime and food
what a life
>>
>>84346765
I work 44 hours a week, Monday to Saturday.
I work at a beer storage. Shit is boring, but I just do my job and get home. I sleep when it's my 1 hour lunch.
>>
>>84347214
>40 a week
anon i deliver advertisement leaflets and I get 300 pounds a week...
you're getting ripped off
>>
>>84350391
44 sounds soul crushing, im sorry hope u make big bucks though
>>
>>84349473
>I only work three days a week at a warehouse pushing boxes
haha are you me?

>>84349592
>just try to hide it bro, nobody will ever know
sometimes that's simply not how it works.

i have an autist colleague who wears this thing. he's a sweet guy and a good worker, he just freaks out when there are unexpected changes to his day (which are rare).
>>
>>84348645
But do you need to be a smart autist for that? Can a 90 IQ autist do it?
>>
>>84350749
not him but i strongly suspect it would help, yes
>>
>What do you do?
Midnight shift security.

>How many hours?
Around 60/week.

>How do you get through it?
Easy mode job which I can do just about everything. The pay is low so it's why I have to do all those extra hours, but it's okay since it's that easy of a job. The most you'll have to do is confront a trespasser. The worst I ever had is an argumentative edgy teenager in which I had to call the police on.

I'm considering something like this. People are already kinda intimidated by me because I'm big and I'm an autist who struggles with being nice to people. The main thing that stresses me is the possibility of interaction, particularly with unpleasant, possibly dangerous individuals. I'm very bad at "speech checks" and hate any kind of confrontation.
>>
>>84350019
It's really easy old women do the job just fine. I can bs with my coworkers but I like when I work an entire day and don't have to talk to anyone. I could show up high if I wanted but I don't
>>
assuming i needed it, would you even have to ask?
