I've been drinking for 20 years, daily for the last 5. I have a dull pain under my ribcage, on my side and on my back. This shit kills you slowly, if that's what you fancy. You can stop and heal miraculously but if you wake up with yellow eyes, it's most certainly over soon.

Understandable. Just make sure you drink a lot of water at least. And when you need to stop don't do it cold turkey. Wean off of it little by little.
