Can watching gore have lasting negative effects on you? Some videos still make me feel sick. But the feeling is temporary. I don't think it has truly affected me in any way. It just made me realize humans die as easily and gruesomely as any other animal.

the first time i watched gore i wanted to kill myself because i found out i had all that gross shit inside of me this entire time and get it out get it out
>>84379822The first time I watched gore I felt like puking. It was a video of a woman getting decapitated. Everytime I closed my eyes I woul see it, and I'm not joking. Yet, I kept seeking more of it.
You really should stop, it isn't healthy to watch that sort of stuff. This goes for pornography too for a similar reason, and all sorts of other things. If for example your car is ugly and you have to look at it all the time. it will also take a toll on your mental health for the same reason.
it makes you more cautious, so it's good for you

Someone else's trauma can make you produce trauma responses. It's part of what makes us human. When you are nothing but a collection of trauma responses, you are less human.
why would you seek out and willingly watch gore. i treat it the same as pizza, instantly close the tab and forget about it

>>84380183It's mostly morbid curiosity and thrill seeking. Yet, it is horrible. That's why I watch it.
