Every time you look at yourself naked, you are producing softcore porn of yourself for your eyes.

Ive always thought id achieve way more than the average person in scenarios like your attached image

there are many scenarios where you would be sure to amaze and astound ancient audiences should you go back in time to talk to them. you could also just read the wikipedia page for electricity before you went and not end up like poor asac slater here.

move magnet near coil

You make industrial magnets from loadstones, then cover copper wire in a non-conductive enamel. You make a stator shaped like a bucket with the copper wire wrapped around the sides. Take your magnets and wrap them around a cylinder so the north side is on top, ans south is on bottom (doesn't matter what's north or south just that they're all the same) that's the rotor. Now just attach the rotor on an axle inside the stator, and make the axle spin, maybe with a windmill or a watermill or a handcrank.

alternatively you can stick some zinc and copper wires in a potato.

>mine copper
>melt ore
>pull molten copper into wire shape

>identify magnetite deposits
>harvest magnetite ore
>carve into a cylinder shape

That's just to have the materials. If you went back before the industrial revolution and didn't have the resources of a king you couldn't do any of that.

Pretty much nothing is going to be possible if you go back to the stone age but magnetizing iron and making copper wires is doable at least 2000-2500 years back
Im sure you could convince someone powerful if you pulled your iphone out

by the bronze age which is when i imagined this being, yes you could do it.

Copper is already mineable by the period, and there's broad awareness of loadstones you could use to take iron (something that exists but is not highly valued until the iron age when tin becomes scarce) and turn it into more magnets.

You don't need to carve a cylinder shape out of the magnets, you only need to basically shape a drum and put magnets on the wall and spin them around the axle. The picture in question implies you have people's attention. it was only asked to provide the knowledge not to build the thing solely on your own with no tools, property or help like it's fucking minecraft or something.

more likely you'd be burnt at the stake or stoned to death

Did anyone know what magnetite deposits looked like back then?
