I dated a 30+ single mother. She lived rent free in her family friend's apartment, yet saved barely any money. She asked me for money to help her at one point but then deleted the message. I still have her a couple of thousand partly because I felt bad for her kid. She spent it on cosmetic surgery while on holiday. Her kid loved reading books from this graphic novel series which I had bought. The final book on the series was released and I mentioned it to her, and a month later we talked and I asked if she had bought that book for her kid and she laughed as if I was stupid for asking and said no. I helped her a lot but didn't want to continue the relationship, but remained friends. Stupid of me sure. She returned the favour by trying to humiliate me when she met some other guy and wanted me to find out in person rather than just not telling me, or telling me in a kind way. Trash. But people like that succeed in life, there is no way around that fact.
