i think gratitude is a good quality to have. we're all struggling but you can appreciate and feel grateful for the things you do have in your life. e.g. if you're a friendless NEET, but you have a place to live and enough food. you can easily stop thinking about how cool e.g. free/easy access to any retro vidya ever is, when that's fucking AMAZING.with that in mind, i ever wonder if these people realize. do they just...clock it, ever? at least a person who becomes rich ACQUIRES a swimming pool one day, before walking past their swimming pool every day becomes just another routine.like, these average-and-above people 'know'. but do they KNOW?
