I spent my entire life overwhelmingly feeling like an outsider who was mentally above what was happening around me. It only got affirmed by people around me who thought that I was special. I've had a really blessed life and the ability to literally pursue anything that I wanted to, but I'm still not living up to the standard I would want for myself. It just felt like everything I could do that wasn't extremely important for the world was meaningless. When I graduated college i had the highest honors and didn't even show up to graduation because the achievement felt completely hollow and worthless because it wasn't big enough. I guess I've been waiting for my chance to do something great and slowly realizing that I probably won't get the chance.It's probably just thinly veiled narcissism, but being a narcissist and self aware is much more annoying and depressing than being one who's too much of a moron to realize they arent as important as they think they are.
