i met two but one was a narcissist (whom i actually dated) and the other probably something even worse, some kind of extreme BPD compulsive liar, completely unhinged. both were smart, but the narcissist was probably like 145 IQ and also autistic and very lonely, she was comfortably getting through med school just cramming at the last moment.

I'm gonna be real anon I think it's actually kind of difficult to be reasonably high IQ and not come off at least a little evil. If you're right, I can't imagine what it's like being an actual 145; I have a verbal IQ in the 120s and a nonverbal IQ in the 130s and even that is pretty isolating sometimes. It's hard to relate to others, I rarely feel seen/understood, and most people's psychology feels obvious and simplistic to the point where it's unironically difficult not to feel tempted to manipulate or coerce others, especially people I don't know. It causes a lot of problems in relationships - when I'm truly being myself around a partner, I have been told I come off as vaguely psychopathic or alien in situations with high emotional stakes. I'm just not "in" it the same way other people are. In those situations it really quickly goes from "yea I'm smart I guess" to "oh fuck my brain actually works differently than most of the population and I don't know how to reconcile that gap without putting on the kids' gloves."

Sometimes I wish I was the uber high IQ, visibly autistic kind of intelligent because I feel like they get more of a free pass and naturally gravitate to more of "their kind" via strong interests in fields most people simply aren't capable of entering - I imagine their lives are still just as difficult interpersonally tho.

i don't know, i know guys who are as smart as that girl and we get along with no issue. i never got my iq tested but it can't be far off to the point where we can't communicate. i think it's more the autism and childhood trauma that made her like that + education gap (because she was also richer than me). or maybe it all just manifests differently in women.

I met only one which I married. She isn't as attractive as other woman and I think this caused her to actually develop a personality due to not being able to get by on just her looks.
