Nothing to do with being religious. The difference is you are faithful to your soulmate

Congrats, you now know that your friends hate you and are intentionally doing things that you disagree with. You now have the opportunity to cut ties and make new friends that align with your current values. Welcome to adulthood.
I also urge you to find the divine on your own. It's good to study various faiths, but don't let them dictate how you should act or think. You don't need a religion to know god, and in fact religion is the gatekeeper to god. They don't want you to be connected directly to heaven, they want you to obey them.
The divine spark is inside of you.

>Congrats, you now know that your friends hate you
Anon's friends hate him because they're doing things that go against his religion? Lol, okay
>You now have the opportunity to cut ties and make new friends that align with your current values.
In other words, "Don't even make an effort to connect with people who think differently than you"
>You don't need a religion to know god
>don't let them dictate how you should act or think
The biggest point of religion is that you must follow outdated and supposedly divine rules. This is religion. What are you talking about?

Considerate people don't flaunt things that their friends disapprove of. It's a sign that you have zero consideration or respect for people.
>In other words, "Don't even make an effort to connect with people who think differently than you"
It's not all on OP to conform to his friends. They need to meet him in the middle but they took it upon themselves to start going out to do something that is antithetical to him, and are letting him know it. They could be respectful and keep their escapades to themselves but they're making a show of it to insult OP.
There's also nothing wrong with removing people who are disagreeable to you from your life. You don't need to include everyone. In fact the wisest thing you can do is be selective with those you surround yourself with.
>The biggest point of religion is that you must follow outdated and supposedly divine rules. This is religion.
Yes, that's what I said. Religion is organized, rules-based worship administered by an authoritative body.
Following the divine/god/heaven =/= religion. The latter takes advantage of our inclination to the former to control us. It's an erroneous brainlet take (and probably intentionally spread) to consider any form of spirituality as religion.
Jesus himself was against religion and churches; he taught people to think for themselves and to foster a direct, personal connection with god, free from fear and social pressure. That's why they killed him and co opted his movement.

Wym hate ? I was with one of them just yesterday, we had a blast about how awkward it was.
My religion encouraged proselytizing and my friends also seem to have remorse for not being practicing, it's my duty towards them to be their guidance. I fully accept my role as tbe upstuck one in the group who keeps them from becoming soulless hylics if the price is staying a virgin
>They don't want you to be connected directly to heaven, they want you to obey them.
They never stopped me from my religion in fact they respect my worship times
The first and most important spiritual battle is inside of you
>>
>>84437102
You made it sounds as if they were doing it to spite you. Perhaps I misunderstood.
Also I was referring to religions not wanting you to be connected directly to heaven, not your friends.
>>
>>84437126
Reading back, maybe it does sound like it. They were talking about this for years anyways but now mustered up the courage
Even if it somehow happens to be out of spite, id still like to be delusional and believe the former scenario
>>

Oh, you're such an honourable and noble person. So honourable and noble for being a shining light for those lost souls. It's so honourable that you gave up all your "vices" and desires that contradict your religion in exchange for being the guidance. Really, you didn't have to take it upon yourself to be a spiritual leader for these people who evidently know less than you about life. Thank you, thank you so much for showing them how to not lose their soul. So noble. So brave. You didn't have to use your superior knowledge to help them. To be fully of service to them. You're so noble for forcing their boot under your head
Seriously, who the fuck do you think you are?
>>
>>84437153
U mad brah ? originally
>>
>>84437163
No
>Let me put your boot on my head
>So I can be so noble and show you the way
>I have no choice!
>It's the least I can do to help you
>It's what I have to do to show you how to not be soulless
>Aren't I noble?
One of the most disgusting things in this world
>>
>>84437188

So ur schizophrenic? Lmfao

It's an allegory for how you act towards people. In your 'spiritual enlightenment' you forcefully push yourself into the role of something who is used for 'spiritual guidance' and you will create situations in which this happens. Even if it means being insulted or beaten. It's putting your head below someone's boot and yelling "I have to do this for them. They simply don't know any better!". An aspect of this is thinking you know more or better than anyone else. This the reason I asked who do you think you are. "I know so much better than anyone else" "So I must show them" "Let me nail myself on my own cross" "And, in my wisdom become a martyr for you all". There's an psychological aspect of a superiority complex. You put this yourself role and exchange your appearance of dominance for meekness. And you love it. You rub yourself head against the metaphorical boot and smile. "I just have no choice". It's a new level of perversion that words can hardly capture. It's one of the most sickening things on this world
>>
>>84437287
Im not christian so these assumptions and rhetoric of martyrdom doesn't apply to me, i wouldve loved to give you a longer more thoughtful reply but this is genuinely all there is to it

Just do the same as any normal religious person and ignore the parts of your religion which limits your actions
>>
>>84437394
Not like i have a choice
>>
These days you get more chances to score being religious anyway
