I drew this in Microsoft Paint. The woman on the left is my mom, telling me she'll be back. On the right is me, age 7, holding a red helicopter toy and a blue plastic sword. She worked late shifts. I would stay up past midnight sitting in the dark hallway because I was afraid the silence meant she wasn't coming home. I stopped crying after a while and just stared at the wall until I heard the lock turn. The drawing looks funny, how I feltcompletely frozen, waiting, not knowing what to do, I don't talk to her about this, but I wanted to put it somewhere.

funny how you look like an autistic ghoul but your mom is pretty and nice
>>
That is very cool of you to share this with us OP.
>>
ok now me. my parents divorced and my dad worked nights and on the first night alone i finished my drawing and ran out to the front room to show him. when i realized there wasn't anyone there i walked back into my room and cried. what did you like to watch on tv?

Would you describe yourself as a conservatively minded fellow. I'd be very interested in your art if I knew it was one of the rare appearance of rightoid art on the interwebs.
>>
Yeah, the drawing is confusing. It shows her leaving at 7am. But she worked long hours and came back late, sometimes 7am the next morning. I waited all night in the dark hallway. The 'leaving for work' moment was just the start of the fear.

I watched a lot of SpongeBob and old Cartoon Network shows. Sorry about your dad, that must have been a really hard night.
>>
Do you have autism? Not meme internet autism but real autism that impairs theiry of mind. That's the only way you could have thought anyone would find this even remotely interesting.

I've always been a little autistic. Never diagnosed, but I spent a lot of time alone staring at walls

I don't really think my art is political. just about being a kid waiting for my mom

have you noticed how large everything looks in an empty house at 7 years old?
>>
>>84484270
Thanks. I haven't seen my family in a couple of years and I'm in a bad place right now. I just wanted to draw something to get it out
>>

I'm not saying the art itself is political. Just curious if it was drawn by a conservatively minded fellow.
>>
>>84484313
I strongly believe I am on the spectrum, but I have never been officially diagnosed. I wasn't trying to be interesting. I just needed to put it somewhere.
>>

my apologies, im little slow, just an autistic ghoul who draws pictures.

you're very interesting.

What did you think of while staring at walls? I did this too but i would be going on brain adventures.
>>
I love my mom so much and I'm a terrible son.
>>
>>84484215
When I was a child, my mother worked afternoons and evenings, and sometimes I would wait for her to come home.
