If you had kids>what kind of toys would you let them play with?>what kind of media would you let them watch?>what kind of video games would you let them play?
>>84506315I think I'd be fairly liberal, and would just allow them to do what they'd like, provided it's not physically life threatening or something. I'd just keep them away from ipads and short form content
>>84506315i'm genuinely forcing my children to play stuff like: warcraft 3, heroes of might and magic, gothic, thief, aoe2, diablo 1 & 2, unreal tournament, deus ex, dark messiah, quake, morrowind, siege of avalon, age of mythology, you get the gistthere's no way in hell my kids are being raised on fucking league of legends, overwatch, fortnite, marvel rivals, modern cod, apex legends, genshit impact or other gacha games, pretty much any other disgusting modern dogshit slop, my kids will learn to appreciate artand when it comes to cinema/film it's gonna be the same way>>84506326>I think I'd be fairly liberal, and would just allow them to do what they'd like*LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER*>I'd just keep them away from ipads and short form content*DING DING DING!*
>>84506384>i'm genuinely forcing my childrenWould that be considered bad? I had a boomer upbringing even though I am gen Z. Part of me wants to give them an NES at a young age and then slowly introduce them to newer gens. With all the 80s Nostalgia bait, I wonder if we'll see an uprising into a "millennial" style of upbringings.
Toys are a little conflicting, I would want to minimize plastic but you know how old people are like, grandparents would probably go out of their way to mix plastic powder in food and drinks to spite me if I don't handle their fragile egos well enough when laying out the ground rules. Probably would be easiest to just have a no gifts allowed policy, or they give them to me for approval first so I can reject or allow them to present it.For media I'd set up profiles for my media server and they can search or browse, but the good stuff like hentai will be kept in a seperate library they don't have access to. I'd probably try and find a proper software to make it easier to search and browse for books and manga too. I don't think I'd put any restrictions on vidya, whatever is in the emulator library they can just play. Maybe not all the VNs though, but that's easy to keep in seperate library for that. They'd definitely be homeschooled. I'm not letting any freaks go near them. No set curriculum, they have my library and the internet so the sky's the limit after learning to read. Only thing I'd really push is college level math. For socialization we'd go to church a couple times a week and seek out homeschool clubs. 4H is pretty wholesome. If for some strange reason they want sports then I'd just force the local school my taxes pay for to let them play but not attend any of the classes. If there's any resistance there's lots of pro bono lawyers and legal advocacy groups now. It's not hard to throw some weight around and make sure my kids legal rights are respected. They wouldn't be soft little city bitches. At 13 they'll get their first deer. I'd try to raise them country and keep the traditions alive. At 15 or 16 they'd graduate and get a ged. Not sure what's next, use connections and help them get jobs and married. If they want college I'd help as I can, but assuming multiple kids and building an estate it would need to be fair to everyone.
