Nearly all anime has writing aimed at literal children, including Solo Leveling. It's all bad, even when it sometimes has very good animation/voice acting/etc.If there were more anime with adult-aimed writing then some % of that anime might actually be good. I guess Evangelion kind of counts

Hell, Dostoevsky is my favorite author and some of his scenes in C&P, The Idiot and Brothers Karamazov feel right out of a visual novel. Even Don Quixote (my favorite book) is basically one long sitcom.I have a suspicion you've not actually read any 'classics', and if you have, it was high-school required reading shit like Orwell.
