I inherited some talent from my mother so my baseline was always higher than other kid's, but after I stopped being kid I neglected it, never practiced to become better with exception of brief period when I got drawing tablet so OC creation in GIMP for imageboards would be easier.There was some website where you had limited ink per page and you could draw something, submit it, and your drawing was sent to someone else, and theirs was sent to you, and you could watch how it was drawn in timelapse. It was used by bunch of people as kind of chat where they were drawing their own avatars with replies, it was fun. It was often raided by finns for some reason. I have recorded bunch of timelapses from my drawings so I should have them somewhere in webm format, but they are still just sketches, nothing fancy, because that's the level I stopped at when I was like 13-15 or something.

Knowing how light and colors work would make everything even better when you're manually editing your AI images, but it's still not worth learning. AI is improving all the time and being used in new ways. Soon enough, manual editing won't even be necessary, or at least you won't have to do as much.
