having friends is just not worth it
>>84520357True. They're always acting entitled to your time and getting all whiny when you dont pay them enough attention.
>>84520357I was demoralized once due to how my best friend threw it all away. Made peace with not having friends BUT enjoying the flexibility that I had as a result. Yet I would end up meeting people through my interests that were trusting, mature, enthusiastic but wanted to know my boundaries, so I accepted their friendship. So it's okay to step back... Even then life might bring you into contact with good people but even if not there's much to enjoy about not having to organize your schedule with others in mind.

>>84520357Its a double edged sword, in a way not having to juggle other peoples emotions is very nice, spontaneous trips are very easy, but at the same time we evolved in tribes, so a lot of the time your monkey brain is screaming at you to get other monkeys to have a better safety net
that's because no one person can fill every role
>>84520483it's just not worth the suffering especially if you have introvert tendencies already
Some people you associate with you think are your friends, but they're actually monitoring spirits. They serve no purpose other than to check your status in life.
l like the idea of having friends, and can do so easily within a context like work, but outside of these environments I don't have anything to talk about and don't have any hobbies or interests. Don't care about sports, don't play video games, never got my drivers' license, not obsessed with trains or planes like many other autists are. I like going on long walks outside alone. Thought I would enjoy that activity with a friend, but actually no. Maybe for the first 15 minutes but then it's like I get fatigued that there's still another person with me and I have to keep talking to them and I can't jsut wander off and ditch them because that would be rude but I'm not having as much fun as I would if I were just here alone and not trying to make my solo daywalks or nightwalks into a social activity.
>>84520357i had a friend for 16 years. best friend even. we used to do all the gay cute things bffs do together
>>84520514Why don't you marry him (no homo)
Having friends is always just stupid dominance games. There is always a dunker and the dunkee. I just don't want that in my life. I'd rather just do messageboards and have a lover.
>>84520357People are doing it wrong. Find a friend worth having, don't just get random friends that will just drain you of energy
>>84520483>get other monkeys to have a better safety netAnother reason to invest. Money can't get up and do stuff for you, true. But with more money you aren't as dependent on others, especially if you go the distance and retire early. Education, trades, markets - they all require putting in money and time reading to make good decisions. When you look at it that way it's not so different and abstract.
