Do you feel bad for artists who are freaking out over AI

They poured years of effort into their craft only for machine to do it better than them while stealing their work.
>>

>Do it better
Why are you lying
You can recognize slop fast
>>
>better than them
Can you name a single AI generated movie that is better quality than something humans made?
>>
>>84530137
if you're that bad that you get beat by a literal LLM then i don't care.

No, assholes deserve it

No one who has actually used ai is worried about ai taking over

internet artists are some of the most pretentious, smug narcissists you'll ever meet in your life. it makes me laugh that ai is taking their jobs, they deserve it
>>
>>84530137
>stealing their work
Retard.
AI doesn't reproduce anything. It learns general rules. Why is AI literacy so fucking bad in 20 God damn 26.
>>
>>84530176
Cope variant:
>I am smarter or better at my job than current AI models, so there is no issue
Unfortunately, AI models are already better at MOST things than MOST people. Yes, they will make mistakes, but if you take a 100iq peak-bellcurve normalfag and give them the same task their error rate will be worse. Manual work that is not all done on the computer is still afloat because the robotics side is lagging behind, and in any case for a business owner a full Robot would be much more costly than an LLM subscription.
>taking over
It's not clear what you mean by this, but "taking over" as in skynet shit, taking over the government and military - not likely any time soon. If you mean "taking over" as in creating mass unemployment (for which, it would only take something like replacing 10% of white collar workers to cause an economic disaster) it is all but guaranteed.

did anyone feel bad for men in trades and IT getting replaced by foreigners?

an actual retard is speaking, let's all listen.
>>
>>84530212
nta but i don't care because my field is and will continue to be unaffected by ai
>>
>>84530212
You people have been dooming about this for *checks calendar* 6 fucking years. AGI is never going to be created. Every publicly available llm is trash at everything. Writing, video generation, image generation, code, fucking everything. That means all the ones closed to the public are just as lackluster. They're nothing worth freaking out about.
>>
the ai doesnt make anything new or interesting. the best work ive seen made with ai only utilized it as a step in a process.
if your starting and end point is just ai gen you're going to get nothing interesting.
>>
>>84530137
No I am fucking happy as fuck, same shit will happen to influencers, onlyfans whores, hr bitches and all the other 100 % useless pieces of shits in this world. AI is the great equalizer after a century of pure shit.
>>
>>84530257
Pluck an Average person off the street and see how good they are at writing, video generation, image generation, and code. Much worse than AI in all categories, likely. If you get lucky, they're good at one of them (maybe you pulled a codefag off the street, for instance) but that guy can't animate, draw, or write fiction worth a shit. Not to mention the Knowledge component. Ask an AI model a list of 100 moderately challenging scientific, historical, mathematical, medical questions and they will get some wrong - but their score out of the 100 is going to be a lot better than your Average guy again. So keep dreaming.
>>
>>84530277
>Pluck an Average person off the street and see how good they are at
That's cool, normal people off the street aren't hired to be writers, coders, accountants, or 3d artists or any other profession you're worried about llm's stealing. Every attempt to replace professionals with ai has been a disaster that was quietly walked back.
>>
>>84530277
the ai requires a person to operate it....
you need someone with taste or knowledge to use ai code and actually make a fucntioning code base. the ai is never going to be able to do that. not now not ever.

ask it to make visual designs and you will just get ai slop. you need someone with taste operating the ai, and people with taste are the people that have spent half their lives on a craft developing skills.

your logic makes no sense you seem to think the ai is just magic instead off a tool that has to be operated by a person.
>>
>>84530209
why would you expect adequate general literacy on a very new concept?

we don't even fucking have computer literacy, let alone llm literacy
>>
>>84530277
>see how good they are at writing, video generation, image generation, and code. Much worse than AI in all categories
The difference is that humans are capable of originality while LLMs can only regurgitate stuff that is in their training data.
If you're just trying to make porn or cheat on your homework or copy boilerplate code from stackoverflow, LLMs are ok. If you actually have a soul and want to make something new then LLMs are worthless.
>>
Let's knock these retarded arguments out one by one.
>>84530309
>normal people off the street aren't hired to be...
You sure about that? There are no Average people working white collar grunt work office jobs that an AI model could replace easily? Certainly not a significant quantity, to where it would damage the overall employment rate, right? Every currently employed writer, coder, accountant and artist is in the top 5% of human performance and cannot ever be replaced.
>>84530342
>you need someone to operate the AI
Sure, this is true, but one actually competent writer, accountant, etc can use it to do the work that would previously have taken a team of 5-10 entry level grunts working under him.
>>84530541
>if you actually have a soul and want to make something new
I don't even disagree with you here, but we're talking about low level corporate office jobs, not anything that requires a soul. In fact having a soul may be detrimental in most cases.
>>
>>84530163
that image is le everyone online is one person fallacy
99% of people don't make romhacks, care about banana on wall as art. 90% don't care about bullying bad beginner artists or being anti gatekeeping. shut da fuck up
>>
>>84530223
This kek. I'm so glad watching these smug worthless office working faggots impotently seethe as they all get replaced by AI. No, you don't deserve 30k annual for filling out word documents you fat worthless spastic. I hope it accelerates.
>>
>>84530223
This. Where was the outrage when rust belters had their factories outsourced? Where was the made in China boycott? How is it that only artists deserve to be protected from being replaced? Accelerate.
