Do you ever play vidya anymore?
>>
>>84534204
Yeah, I used to have a group of people I played Peak with, but there has been a lull, now I wait and play aoe4. What about you OP?
>>
>>84534204
Not really but I have been playing some shooter games recently. I realised that I didn't really like playing video games for its own sake, rather they were just an agreeable way to pass the time.
>>
>>84534204
I miss the days where I could just lock in and play one videogame all day. Nowadays I just doomscroll and play 10 videogames in 5 hours when I have free time
>>
>>84534204
I play indie games and games I've already played many times before
>>
>>84534204
yes i play fonline ashes of benix
>>
>>84534204
runescape and sometimes other games
not like i used to though
>than neck
i would lick, kiss and suck that giraffe neck all up and down.
>>
Extremely rarely. It's usually just a random jrpg I grew up on. The most recent was back in January when I was snowed in, I replayed Wild Arms 3.

yes

I don't like newer games and the way they are designed. Shooter games specifically. They are too slow paced. Battle royal games especially, minutes at a time with zero action and nobody to shoot. Walking simulators and slot machine loot boxes to pass the time. Slowness is baked into foundation of the mechanics. Not crouched? That's an accuracy penalty. Moving? That's an accuracy penalty. Want to move at full speed, now you can't shoot. Want to get to a higher area, now you have to go into an climbing animation, instead of just being able to jump up there. And of course every map is fucking enomous.

What happened to the shooters of the 90's spawn in, zip around the map at 100mph, see someone in 5 seconds, shoot till someone dies, respawn in 3 seconds. Right back into the action. High octane, 30 kills and 30 deaths in 5 minutes. What happened?
>>
>>84534739
nothing has happened, anon. Those games still exist and you can play them. Even with some other people. UT, Quake, CS, Serious Sam, etc, series are all alive and well. You can get most of them on GOG.
>>
Playing Ocarina of Time right meow
>>
>>84534765
I want a new one to play. Something original that keeps the spirit of those games. An even playing field, where everyone is just learning the game and finding new discoveries to take advantage of. There's something about a fresh unsolved meta that's appealing.

I literally tore my Nintendo DS in half today after trying to beat the Pokemon Sun battle tree for over 100 hours and losing to bullshit rng every time

Still do. By myself, with friends, or with my sister.

I never really had the time to game before i had to travel a lot because of my job and when i was at home i mostly was at my pc and bored but now im unemployed and startd to get back a bit just to do something adn not waste all day at the computer so i dug out my old switch and but it was just tedious
>Connect to the wifi and enter password
>Download system update
>Dowload update for the game
>Battery low on pro controller
>Joycons start drifitng
Also i think my switch is breaking down
I dont know if anyone else has the same issue or whether its a problem with my tv but the lower half of my tv is getting dark sometimes when i play docked
I tried switching the HDMI cables and changing rgb setting from full to limited but it keeps happening
Anyone know whether its a problem with the tv or the system itself?
I bought mine almost 10 years ago when it first came out and never really played a lot on it

Only old and near-old vidya. I think the most modern game I actually play is Arma III which is already 13 years old lmao. 99% of current vidya is goyslop or retroslop that isn't worth knowing about, especially the retroslop, as if you can't just fire up Quake and experience the real thing.
>>
i'm playing pokemon stadium right now
>>
>>84534204
only old games from my childhood (2000s).
>>
>>84534204
Nope. It's a chore and absolutely exhausting. They all want perfect completes from you, twitch.tv etc. and livestreams suck the fun out of it all. Commercialised slop and don't get started on the Indie moral fagging. They have to eat as well and move units.

>>84534204
I use my $5 pro money every month. I actually live buying used games. I hope ps6 is backwards compatible
>>

Currently experiencing Obenseur and The Good Life, while watching my portfolio be up 100% in the past month. We can enjoy fun and productivity.
Too much of either at once and we can feel burned out, especially if we feel the weight of lacking on other areas.
I used to feel hat way until I took a more balanced approach. Could've easily bought (made) the most expensive gaming setup, but I'm holding off for now since these assets will go higher in time.
Yet, even friends who just work and game avoid playing anything too often so they don't get burned out on it, so they switch up what they play and mix up their free time with books, arcades, hiking, etc.

Not as much as I used to, nowadays it's mostly Pokemon romhacks and the occasional Nintendo or Square Enix release

Pic is the next game I'm looking forward to

I have always played computer games. Mostly just 1 at the time and mostly just the same 1 for all my years.
I played more as a teenager and early 20s compared to almost mid 30s now, but still a lot compared to my peers.
I have never played a game that wasn't made after 2010 except in a few instances like:
1. Schedule 1
2. Vampire survivors

Never seen a vagina btw.

You ask a videogamer if they want to earn an Achievement.

The only question is whether the cheevo is handed out, or whether the cheevo is EARNED.
>>
>>84536342
nta, but this is funny.
>You ask a videogamer if they want to earn an Achievement.
and a true video gamer tm, who values really good games indeed, doesn't give a single fuck about in-game achievements, because best games did not have any anyway.
>The only question is whether the cheevo is handed out
handed out. any strip club. any prostitute. 5 to 10 bucks and you can look all you want.

TL;DR: You're not a gamer, you're a pathetic failure who blames video games instead of himself.
>>
>>84536394
Uh oh, stinky, someone's having a bad day.
>>
I have a catalog of old games I replay now and then. Just the ones I liked best out of a bunch of old generations. Most of them don't require much thought and just keep my hands busy while I'm listening to podcasts or watching stuff.
>>
>>84536342
I still follow my true achievement score
