Google services are trash. If you go to too many websites in Japanese it will block translation feature. If you go to too many Spanish websites it will change your settings and start defaulting shit to Spanish or auto translating English pages into taco taco burrito. Deindexing sites or hiding personal websites and blogs. Most annoying is they modify your queries behind the scenes to return completely different but more advertiser friendly results, and even quotation marks no longer perform exact searches. Reverse image search intentionally crippled, and it will modify you image search text string to something different before returning results too, even if it's not just for advertiser friendly shit. They should have been sued into the ground long ago, but obviously the have paid off politicians and judges. They should be broken up under antitrust laws, but again they bought politicians and judges because they are much cheaper than a team of attorneys. Yandex used to be good but it's just google with a different skin now. Duckduckgo was never good but they at least pretended before, now they brag about burying independent and personal websites and even having some topics restricted to only return whitelisted content providers.The normie internet is almost unusable now. It has become a walled garden. They do a lot of shady shit with cloudflare.Kind of makes you wonder if they are really the evil geniuses they try to be thoughFirst they introduce dependence on tech, but then they make it so shit you naturally find yourself using it less. Besides 4chan, pirating weebshit, and financial services I hardly use it for anything else. For less than the cost of starlink you can get a babysitter to manage your life. They pay all your bills, taxes, insurance, basically all the annoying shit, they'll even receive mail if you set it up. It's not hard to imagine a day comes when that becomes preferable to handling all the bullshit and just going off grid.
