Society never tells the youth the truth on actual reality though, because in order for someone to be successful then there must also be those who are failures. You can be the best employee in the world but it doesn't matter as much as kissing ass and saying the right buzzwords. I think most people who realize this either break and become another con artist or simply check out of society as much as they can. Obviously it shouldn't be this way, in a moral society hard work, diligence, punctuality, etc. would matter but we live in a fake and gay society where the only thing that matters is how well you can tell a lie and how many people believe it. Nowadays I can't even look at a game stop manager without thinking "I wonder how many people he fucked over to get to that place." Not saying he did, but in my experience people who scheme and are dishonest are rewarded over people who do not and are not. You also need to work smart, which includes some degree of politics because you need to be seen and valued by someone high up.
