I changed school systems every other year until I was in high school and it fucked me up. Being the "new kid" every other year meant I don't have friends, and after a few times I stopped trying to make friends. It messed with me also because the school systems do NOT give a fuck about the students. The student's well being doesn't matter at all. It got so bad in middle and high school I was becoming obviously unwell and nobody fucking cared. No wonder there's so many school shootings. Not that I ever contemplated such a thing but the lack of attention paid to how the kids are actually doing has always been really shocking to me.
