From the beginning as a whitey i found it very strange they were teaching us about negro slavery and the holocaust in like 3rd and 4th grade, and in retrospect its even weirder now but i wonder what niggas and jews thought of it

It was always just "America had black slaves at one point and then Lincoln freed them", and then we had classes on the Civil Rights era but again it never left much impact on me. I live in a liberal part of America and never had a negative interaction with any race I came across. As far as I was aware, racism no longer existed and it was nothing to think about. That was until the news started talking about Trayvon Martin though, that's a whole other topic.I was definitely more disturbed by lessons on the Holocaust in high school. The worst I ever heard about black slavery was the whippings but teachers really made the Holocaust sound like a horror movie. I recall this one account about how Nazi scientists tried to sew two Jews together as part of some experiment.
