You also can't beat people or use torture. There are volumes of research and theory to read on this. When the Germans took over Europe the second time, they put a lot of the architects in prison following the Nuremberg trials. When they got out and went back to their richfolk lives, they promoted sweeping prison reforms across Europe. Go back to those decisions and see the reasons behind them.
