Slav lives matter 'fist_pale'
>>
>>84604368
I had to beg my parents to get a dvd-drive for the home computer to play this game.
Don't even remember how I got a copy.
>>
>>84604368
How are you liking Olden Era by the way?
>>
>>84604368
Why is homm3 associated with slavs? Why did many of them play that when growing up?
>>
>>84604368
Yes. So what?

>>84604573
Dunno. Just liked that game and played so much.
>>
>>84604368
that game was big in Romania in internet cafes in the early to miss 2000s

watch out, trannie jannies might delete your thread for no reason

Hello
>>84604573
From mid 2000s to early 2010s, if there was a PC in a slavic household, it would have these three games: gta san andreas, homm3 and counter strike 1.6. I always thought of it as interesting as it permeated socio-economic stratas completely. Doesn't matter if you were a gopnik from the projects or a landed gentry kid whose parents made it big during the move to capitalism, you played those games the same.

>Why is homm3 associated with slavs?
It was a fantastic game and it had more staying power with us because we didn't have (fast) Internet as early and not many people had money for consoles or the latest PCs.
Also it's not that every Slav played it, but I think pretty much everyone that did remembers it fondly.
I'm Serbian btw.

Who was your favorite faction?
>>
>>84604368

>>
>>84604949
Don't think I ever met a single dude born before 1998 or so who has never played H3

Ok but why tho?
>>

I know some real fucking uncultured animals man, took a lot of time for Internet and PCs to get to certain smaller rural areas.
I also know a rich kid (1991) I was friends with who didn't give a shit about computer videogames at all past the age of 8 or something.
>>
>>84605068
No idea, just the way things were and I think it was neat. This isn't to say that if you weren't a rich kid you didn't have a Wii and a X360 and played cool games, but those core three games were there and you played them too no matter.
>>
>>84605009
Dungeon because I thought I was sooo clever for black dragon + armageddon
>>
>>84605094
The lizard archers were cool. I loved Tower.
>>
>>84605158
Tower was my brothers favorite faction, he really liked that chain lightning guy
>>
>>84604949
i'm also serbian

>>84604935
pretty much this

>>84605068
because they didn't require much computing power and there was a large torrenting culture because no one could afford to actually purchase games, so the games people played were those that either supported community servers or singleplayer games (or both like sa)
>>
>>84605088
i had an x360 and a ps3 but wii was shit, i was never interested. modded xbox 360 and a jailbroken ps3, idk what i would have done without games starting from when i was like 7 since i had no friends.

>>84605070
maybe the difference is due to russia having more rural areas, but here it spread pretty quickly, it became normal to see 6 year olds torrenting their games and later 10 year olds using combo lists to bruteforce into steam, origin and email accounts and then sell them for 5$ kek
>>
>>84605385
>because no one could afford to actually purchase games
and at least here in serbia, even those who could, weren't able to because of sanctions and limited economic integration with the rest of the world after communism
>>

>>84605385
My mom is Croatian and my dad is Serbian but I grew up in the us. I don't know serbo-croatian

Do you fear getting drafted?
>>
I migrated to slovakia alone when I was 17 (19 now). I already permanently lost my home so I didn't really have anything holding me there besides my family.
>>
>>84606504
What's the best job a 19 year old slovak can get these days?
>>
>>84606507

>>
My family is made of immigrants from Poland and Romania :p but I'm just an american, which is kind of sad
>>

My uncle was on the cover of a Yachting magazine one month for his escape from Poland in a hidden compartment
