Buddha anon here and I'm here to offer little sparks of wisdom to anons who are interested. Drop a problem your facing and I'll try to help you

No. You are very unwise.

---

Anons. Ask me instead. I am very wise. But beware, I do not deal with fools.

It's unwise to call others unwise brother Buddha

i like buddhism but i wholeheartly believe in the soul and that is not going to change
>>
what can i do to receive eternal life?
>>
>>84606947
I believe in unicorns despite fact science says otherwise.
>>84606984
Die
>>
>>84607039
>Die
i don't want to die
>>
tell me about whats gonna happen with the disclosure times and post disclosure times i still hold visions that wars are going to continue and i becoming a drone operator and i have to relay on tubes on my body

If two monks walk toward a cliff, should the wiser monk stay silent to appear humble?
>>84606947
Buddhism is not a jealous wife demanding exclusivity. Keep your soul if it makes you a better person. Many men argue about the candle while their house burns. Very unwise.
>>84606984
The leaf does not ask the tree for eternity. It simply dances in the wind while it can.

Former buddha anon here, believing in Buddhism as a westerner is silly. Also you eventually realize that your 'Zen' is just God
>>
What is being Buddha? And what is being Bodhisattiva? Can I become Bodhisattiva and how? Or are we all Bodhisattiva? I also like how Body and Buddha are cognate
>>

The Buddha did not promise eternal life, but freedom from suffering. Lofe and death are part of the turning wheel. Understanding this brings peace where fear once lived. Even mountains will eventually become dust. Enjoy the fleeting moments of life without fear.
>>84607062
Fear builds entire worlds. Wars, roles, bodies, machines. But they are only thoughts appearing in the mind for now.
Observe your thoughts but do not inhabit them. Very unwise. Right now, you are safe in this moment. Begin there.
>>84607078
Whether one is Western or Eastern is only geography. The mind that suffers is the same everywhere. The Buddha spoke to that mind, not to culture. If Zen becomes a belief, it is no longer Zen being seen.
>>84607222
A Buddha is one who has fully awakened. A Bodhisattva is one who vows not to turn away from others while walking toward that awakening.
Can you become one? It's possible. But not by identity, but by practice. Generosity, patience, awareness and compassion. Very wise.

I'm feeling a bit guilty because of what happened at work tonight.
>accidentally backed into another coworker's forklift while I was loading a trailer, and an asshole coworker saw it and added his little commentary about it
and
>corporate showed up and they're walking around the work floor like a gang, monitoring us and I got scolded a bit
>>
>>84607238
You speak as if death is already here, sitting in your room. It is not. Only fear. When fear of death comes, the mind is living in a future that is not here. Wise? I think not.
If you seek immortality, then I have no advice for you.
>>
>>84607078
You don't understand what you preach

>>84607238
You've died countless times you just don't know it

Guilt has a purpose. It teaches care. But after the lesson is learned, it becomes useless weight. Do not carry it home in your pocket. Very unwise. Leave it where the accident happened.
You already learned from what happened, correct? You are very wise if you have. Do not add extra punishment to yourself. Learn to be forgiving, this includes to yourself.

Ok. I did after all help the coworker immediately after by loading and strapping his freight on the trailer anyway. Not the most embarrassing thing I've dealt with on this dock either.

I'm going to go read and play Undertale.

i am stuck in a society that hates me and i have never experienced true love. every woman i dated sold me a lie about the future we'd build together then revealed their laziness and desire to parasitically take my money and time
>>
>>84607338
Have fun.

A man who has been burned may begin to fear all fire. Yet fire is also what warms and cooks and sustains life. Past harm does not define every future encounter.
You are speaking from hurt, not from clarity. That is understandable. But very unwise. Suffering grows when the mind turns pain into certainty about all people. Be careful of that turn.

what is this chatgpt shit
>>
I'm tired. So I will go to sleep. Very wise. If this thread is still here tomorrow maybe I'll continue to post.
OP, take it away.
>>84607524
Very unwise. From suffering arises aversion, and from aversion arises distorted perception. Impermanence is basic knowledge in Buddhism.
>>
>>84606873
Why should I believe that suffering is caused by craving? Isn't that something someone who didn't recieve enough hugs growing up would say? Like how someone who experiences heartbreak just thinks that love itself isn't worth it?

Isn't it entirely possible that the suffering is caused, not by love, but by love being turned against itself? Innately, I think craving and love are good things, because what else would you call a good thing?

For example, I have a femdom fetish. It's innately something that only gets me off when I'm humiliated. So, every time I succumb to it, I feel like trash after. Consequently, I hate sex. I hate that I don't have it. I hate that even if I got it, it would leave me miserable and be astronomically impossible to get a woman to do for me in the first place. Or it just would be faked normal sex where I pretend to be something I'm not.

But, this doesn't mean sex is bad or that craving stuff is innately painful. I see other people enjoying sex just fine. I just happen to crave it in such an unfortunate way that the nature of my craving works against itself. And there are pleanty of cravings I see other people have, that also contradict their nature, such as alcoholism or eating too much food, that makes them hate their desire for food.

Of course, I want a solution to my problem. It tourments me day after day and gradually has made me an angrier and angrier person who can't relax. I want to change what I desire. But, I haven't figured out a way to do so yet. It seems like I can only find new things to desire, but it's difficult to actually just overwrite your sexuality.
