Yes. Soap and shampoo are harmful and the skin is those areas are especially sensitive with good blood supply. The only place you should use soap on is your hands. People get addicted to the feeling of washing their bodies with these harmful agents and it can be a difficult habit to break. Castor oil can be used instead more safely. If you insist on soap I would suggest castile or good old fashioned lye soap and being aware of the other stuff in it. Spent coffee grounds is a much better additive than a foaming agent. The less ingredients on the label the better.
