Our hair takes a lot of time and effort that the western world doesn't really allot for. I think less people would hate their natural hair if they had time to go to a salon and it also wasn't a small fortune and the hair stylist isn't extremely late or unprofessional. We weren't meant to just do it ourselves, african hair is inherently communal and it was just done by our families and taking turns in helping doing someone else's hair.

Because the main problem i had with islam is how the doctrine is incredibly restrictive and used alot of circular reasoning.
I agree with monotheism, and I still believe in qadr and God. Christianity makes less sense, but the religion is way more spiritual in a way and more lenient. The religion is way more focused in personal relation, or communionwith God. The faith doesnt try to answer absolutely every question, Islam very much so does. Its layers upon layers upon layers of doctrine and rules. And lots of those rules are just so fucking retarded beyond comprehension.
But then again Christian Theology is backwards and inconsistent.
So I want to have the security of following a religion but I have no religion to follow.
