I don't think you understand the depths of a person's capacity for loneliness and desperation. We are social animals and a lot of us are very disconnected. It feels nice to escape and get immersed in things actually working out and people being happy. I just watched The Invisible Man and His Soon To be Wife (about a guy that's invisible and a blind girl that fall in love) and it was just good vibes. It's not that I literally imagine myself as her or him I just want them to be happy and it gives me hope
