I'm afraid of sleeping in the dark but I need to do so.
>>84728970my eyes adapt too much to the dark so it doesn't even look that scary i guess
>>84728999If there's one single dark spot around me, my OCD tells me there's something there. Eye adaptation helps but doesn't solve everything.
>>84728970Alright. Do you see monsters in the dark? Wave your hand through them. They're not real. Do you feel fear? Chamomille tea. Finally - a partner to be present with you if possible.During your evening slumber you may experience a sort of hell that carries with it a false reprieve - but God, Astronomy, something, anything willing the dawn WILL come.If you be legitimate about your stated troubles my sympathy and heartfelt connection goes out to you.
>>84729136>Do you see monsters in the dark?No but I still get anxious and hypervigilant, opening my eyes to see the source of every small noise I hear >ChamomilleDoesn't have any effect on me, but I'm using passionflower and valerian, which only make me feel sleepy desu.>a partner to be present with you if possible.I'm too proud to ask someone to be in the same room with me because of something so dumb...>If you be legitimate about your stated troubles my sympathy and heartfelt connection goes out to youThanks, at least I can say your post gave me some courage. Time to face my fear again now, I guess.
>>84728970same but it's because i live in a rural area and am terrified of a rat or something crawling on me. i actually love sleeping in the dark but if it's too dark they feel comfortable to roam around
>>84729212>I'm too proud to ask someone to be in the same room with me because of something so dumb...What if an internet weirdo from 4chan offered?
I always liked the dark because it meant that others couldn't see me either. Unfortunately the lack of visual stimuli makes my hearing way better and I live in an old rickety house that makes random noises all of the time so it's easier to fall asleep with a lamp on and a fan going.
Get a shitty temu clock, it's almost a night lamp
