fan on my pc went crazy, had to remove it. That's all. The computer resets sometimes when i try to use vr with it, I changed the psu on it so it's not the psu according to ai. Just a mystery problem.
made in china innit
>There are no mainstream, consumer-grade 120mm PC case fans manufactured in the USAI'm forced to support communism what kind of satanic system is it?
they sold us the fuck out man maga
since I went to the gym late I feel like staying up all night so I got coffee
>>84731058Replace your thermal compound on CPU. It's been burned through and the pc will crash if cpu temps raise under heavy load. Sun
>>84731512it's probably not that but I will consider it
>>84731058did you check your pc temperatures before removing the fan? maybe it was spinning up because it was hot
plus it's difficult to monitor things with vr running
>>84731539it was too loud and had to be removed, it's just the fan is retarded, I'm not gaming or anything
>>84731528It is. Trust me.
>>84731588ok, thanks for the help mister that helps me a lot if that's what it is.
>>84731599I know. You are welcome. Sun
there are ways to monitor temp in vr I might start with that
>>84731678Thermal compound is literally 4 screws and a lever. Way less work and will bypass testing if it is that. I'd start there, from my experience that will solve it.
>>84731826fine I will do that first when my brother is awake since he has the paste since he built the pc for me but it had problems I replaced the psu that fixed some stuff old psu was dusty af
>>84731891You can beat me up if I'm wrong
I stayed up all night and everyone is asleepplaying forefront vr might get some more coffee and play with my cats
I got the thermal paste and he even had spreaders.
>>84732047Just clean off and then put a pea sized amount in the middle. It will automatically spread when the cooler is pressed on it.
You didn't mention this issue but I'll mention just in case, if you go to boot and it says fan error then that means you should boot to bios menu and go to fan temp sensor and turn that off. Save and boot, that will fix it. I run into that quite a bit with Asus boards. Its used to create a fan curve based on temp but that has been a bios error forever with certain hardware. Running at a constant rpm is enough. You don't need the fans to dip from that.
>>84732060I put on new paste I will have to play games to test my brother even gave me a new corsair fan he's nice
>remove cooling>PC now restarts without cooling>OP: its definitely not heat!!
>>84732475it was just a fan out of many fans it hasaliens is too scary to test with I made it past the part that crashed though so far so goodI was playing no man's sky when it crashed
>>84732514my PC never crashes, ever, never, ever never.I would run the Command Suite your motherboard came with and run the driver updater, like update BIOS and PC drivers. You wanna do this like once a year.
and fpsvr works with no man's sky so I can monitor stuff
>>84732532I was really into updating the drivers on this because I was looking for a solution, I'll try playing star citizen vr later.
went to the store saw some jeets kind of funny now
