Does /r9k/ drink beer?
>>84740226no, wine, because in the communist state of australia, it's cheaper for some reason
>>84740252fellow australian here. what wines do you drink? the only cheap one i have tried is gossips sweet lips pink moscato
>>84740226i dont like alcohol, so i often just smoke weed
>>84740226No I drink soda and juice.
no I take my suffering raw
>>84740226Sometimes rarely. I like the taste a bit but can't handle too much or I feel weird. Also I don't know if anyone else can relate but I feel like 90% lucid when drunk but am sloppier in speech and movement than realize.
>>84740271Mainly box wines from Aldi. $10 for 4 litres. It's not great, but the difference between good wine and okay cheap wine is so little that I usually go for the cheap stuff anyway. Bad cheap wine is definitely a thing though.
>>84740348im okay with anything that isnt a hard liquor, though i havent drank in a while because ive been on a strict diet. thank you anon
>>84740226yes. it's fun being healthy 98% of the time, because if you fast you get uber drunk after one beer.
No, I drink soda, coffee, and iced tea
I would drink beer if it didn't taste like my mom's pee.
Commence a deluge of pussified zoomers coming in here to boast about being boring teetotalers while also being 290 lbs
>>84740226No it tastes like ball sweat
>>84740472Enjoy your hops sir
Yeah. Every now and then
>>84740360for hard liquor I would also go to Aldi, at least for reasonably priced stuff. Tamova vodka is the cheapest vodka, but I also like it. Aldi's bottom tier spirits are kinda hit or miss, (the cheapo whiskies are usually miss, except Irish Duffy) but some are good and they're usually cheaper. (BWS sometimes has a sale on Vsop brandy. Aldi's brandy is drinkable, but much inferior, for only a few bucks less)also I do kinda have an alcohol problem
>>84740226Yea, mainly light beers now. Used to drink ipas but couldn't make myself pretend to like them. Sometimes ill have blue moon or Guinness. Colt 45 is probably my favorite beer, but i like the big cans and it seems like they only sell them in gas stations which i dont go to often
>>84740472I'm a zoomer and I'm a 23 BMI alcoholic smokerWon't vape or do weed, shit's gay.
>>84740226Only vodka for me because I drink efficiently
>>84740683Same at the moment. I have less than 100 dollars to my name. The only thing I can afford is the 9 dollar liter bottles of vodka. Beer is nice occasionally when you actually have income though
>>84740226only socially or when i feel particularly depressed.
i drink a bottle or two a dayi like it as a postworkout drink, it also gives me motivation to practice my instrument when i dont feel like it
Yes, pretty much on a daily basis. A moderate but constant buzz helps me cope with life.
>>84740348Two and a half Australian dollars per liter????? In my communist European shithole the cheapest is 9,2E/liter what the fuck.
>>84740226Wine. I like concords and sweet wines.Like md 20/20 and Manischewitz. Rieslings are also nice.
>>84740226I would but liquor is cheaper.I mix my own bubbly hard beverages.
>>84741185governments are retardedWhat's your cheapest spirits? Vodka is $38 AUD (19 euro?) a bottle at the minimum here. A pack of cigarettes is the same.we have stupid bureaucrats who like to drink wine at dinner parties (so they subsidize it) and they deplore the uncultured poors who want to drink beer or vodka, so they tax the shit out of it and wank about it
>$14 handle of rum>tap waterLight beer makes me feel bloated and shitty. Only drink it when I feel like having a swill collins (old mil and gin)
>>84740226No, I usually drink soda or tea
I love beer guise
I'm becoming increasingly a high-functioning alcoholic by the week, it gets worse the closer I come to becoming a fully-qualified lawyer, basically living up to the stereotype that they're all alcoholics.Used to only have a couple of bourbon-and-cokes on a Friday, now I'm downing like a dozen of them on both Friday and Saturday, and also recently started having Old Fashioneds because I've been waching Mad Men and like to larp as Don Draper, those things hit like a motherfucker. Even the ones I make at my place, which aren't quite right, still hit very hard.>>84740252Yeah what this anon said, fellow AUssie here, our faggot government raises the prices on fucking everything but especially alcohol, I know I'm wasting so much money on alcohol but fuck it, until I get rich enough to move to another country I gotta make myself forget how hard I'm getting fucked in the ass by this socialist government via hard liquor.
>>84740226I drink vodka seltzers.
>>84740226I try not to drink anymore but when I do, I alternate between vodka, gin and beer seasons. Right now I'm in a beer season and I'll get a pack every now and then. The added bonus of beer is it makes you piss a lot and I like to piss
>>84742319The stereotype might be true lol, I went to the SGS conference a year or two back and yeah ... free wine and beer during the evening sessions and a free open bar afterwardstbf I'm an engineer I still took full advantage of it>friend got so pissed he walked into the ocean at 3 AM and was mad the ocean wet his shoes>i pissed in the hotel room sink (tbf, I did it again later when sober because the only toilet is in the shower and 5 people showering when we get back blocks it up for an hour. Looked through the lobby, up and down the street, there was no other option)
>>84742368Well to be fair ethat's what conferences and work parties are for. That's expected.I worked at a firm for a few months where the owner was an alcoholic and there were two fridges in the staff kitchen: one was normal full of milk, water, juice, lunches, etc., the other was FULL of bottles of wine, beer, vodka, etc. The senior lawyers and partners would often start drinking at 3pm, and offer us assistants and paralegals cocktails. These were lawyers handling major commercial deals too. One of the senior laywers was giving a client advice about a contract with his feet up on his desk and sipping a vodka cocktail at 3:30pm lmao.Fucking loved working there, the people were so chill and the owner actually rememered my name and said hello, wish I had a permanent position. Casual/high-functiontioning alcoholics are fun to work with.
>>84740472I'm in my 30s, should I try it? I heard it was good for autism and anxiety. That's the only interest I have in alcohol.
>>8474022630, no alcohol whatsoever
I likeSwinging on the swaaangsPuppydogs and thaaangsAnd BEER
>>84742431hot damn, i would love to work (drive a forklift) while drinkingat least engineering I can do while drinking, even though as yet I'm just a student but I'm designing a battleship in my spare time (348,000 ton and 46 knots ... if you're unfamiliar with naval stuff, that's the kind of thing you don't come up with while sober) and my calculations are usually okay when drinking. Or no wronger than when sober, anyway. That and novel-writing, another fine thing to do drunk, I might even do it better until I'm drunk enough that my handwriting starts to slur.So I can totally imagine lawyers swigging whisky reading big contracts. Hell, I'd probably do it if I could.yeah small companies rule. Work safety regulations were completely optional at my last place. Forklifts only go 10 mph but they zoom around tight spaces like sports cars. Knew the owner, the main manager (hi Bill!) was a great guy, we just had one cunt nobody could fire running distribution
Yes, every day. Although at this point it barely has any effect on me unless the alcohol volume is around 10%.
>>84740226yuporiginal
>>84740226I dislike hops so I tend to avoid beer, I don't understand how American managed to get psyoped into hops.
>>84740309How old are you? You're describing like the absolute base level of being tipsy/drunk as if it was uncommon.
>>84742435As a fellow autist, yes.Nothing will loosen you up faster, you'll almost feel like a normal person, just don't drink too much, stop as soon as you start to feel good and uninhibited.
>>84740226unforunately yes>>84740252ah yeah, blame communists and indians for thatim sure it has nothing to do with the fact that australia produces a lot of wine and wants to encourage that industrys success
>>84743734it's mainly taxes on beer and spiritsthe pollies like wine so they subsidise ita cheap bottle of vodka is like 90% excise and GST, it's taxed nearly as hard as smokes. And you can make it at home from bread and sugar.
alcohol in general tastes digusting. I do not drink any of it
>>84740226I'm on penicillin, so I can't drinkI've been sober for 5 days now
>>84740226I'll be trying some eventually since they seem like they might be tasty. I've had a mass-produced beer once that was out of a can and not meant to be anything remarkable and it was alright, so I'll probably like ones truly meant to be enjoyed with or without eating something between sips.
>>84740226I can't because I'm on 60mg of Prozac
