>watch bocchi rock>bocchi is not very relatable at all, she seems like a fake superficial 'girlfailure'. She's even talented and gets friends not even halfway through the show>watch watamote>i completely relate to tomoko, her awkward introvert struggles are realisitc and unfiltered. she ends the show without making a single friend
>>84748806I heavily related to both, maybe you aren't incel enough?
>>84748806i think in the manga watamote ends up becoming popular?
>>84748818how is being talented a staple on incel culture
>>84748825She's not popular, she basically just has a group of orbiters following her around. None of them are really her friends, they mostly just treat her like a toy. The past 15 years of stories have just been them dragging Tomoko around to participate in normie things she has little to no interest in. Most pages are dedicated to the bloated cast fighting amongst each other about some dumb thing like a school movie project or who gets to fuck Tomoko's brother. Maybe 5-10 years ago, one could say Tomoko was a side character in her own story. At this point she's more like a guest star that pops up every once in a while. This is still pretty accurate for those that tried and failed to be normies. You just sort of assimilate into an existing social group and hope people just don't pay to close attention to you. Let things play out and enjoy the company but still never really fit in.
>>84748806I watch anime for escapism so I can't relate.
>>84749349>she basically just has a group of orbiters following her aroundThat's being popular
Stop watching terrible cartoons made for retarded children.
>>84748806Tomoko does make friends thoughBut you're rightBocchi is the lame watered down zoomer version of watamoteIt's a perfect reflection of how modern day normies complain about being lonely when in reality all they have to do is try and everything will work out for them fairly easily because they don't actually have real problems and obstacles except their own lack of trying
>>84749406Bocchi seems more comparable to K-On and even specifically early Yui
Tomoko is hotter
>>84749406But... but tomoko doesn't try either. She stays home and goons, while her brother plays sports and stuff
>>84749633I'm literally tomoko, but I'm a boy
>>84748806also notice the attempted dogshit humour in bocchi, the only explanation to people laughing at that is retardation
>>84749775originally the author wanted Tomoko to be a guy, the editor convinced him to change him to a girl so the manga would get more popular
>>84749776i mean watamote is the same kind of thing, except her character is slightly younger so it's a bit more believable. Bocchi is a bit too infantilized though still
>>84749812I don't know I stopped watching watamote after 2 episodesThe difference is that there is a shit ton of people who absolutely love bocchi and think it is super duper funny and relatable
>>84748806Not to mention that Bocchi is relatively pretty compared to Tomoko, who only had a glowup in the manga because her friends taught her how to do makeup to hide her eyebags.
>>84749812The real reason I can't watch watamote is because I feel too bad for her and don't want to see her get hurt.
>>84748806watamote isn't just about introversion but social anxiety which a has a more relatable delivery because tomoko filters her thoughts and actions through a heightened nervous system making her behavior odd or unfathomableThe karaoke episode, pretending someone likes her to look impressive then winding up embarrassing herself all those can be a result of social anxiety because their judgement of what's socially acceptable is decided by the stress/social phobia they experience or by overriding the same stress
