can people tell if you have had alcohol smell-wise? I wonder this because my last job I drank a lot on the job and no one said anything to me. I drink straight vodka and sometimes vodka with a mixer like orange juice. I'll usually have some mint gum too before talking to anyone after drinking. 99% of the time I don't go overboard or anything too. maybe 3 or 4 shots. I just heard some people are very good at smelling alcohol on others and wondered.

vodka doesn't really smell eat a sandwich then brush your teeth especially if you breathe out of your nose. whisky though is very stinky no matter what

Yes, you can smell alcohol off someone's body, it does not only show through your breath.

I've seen people say this. One of my co-workers drank a lot of gin on the job, and I could smell that shit a few feet away. I figured gin would be like vodka though idk. so it made me wonder if people walked up to me and thought "wow, this guy smells like vodka"

oh well, I'm not gonna stop doing it unless it gets me fired from places

This one alchie coworker of mine smelt like whiskey when he started sweating

Yes, everyone can smell it. Not just on your breath, you sweat a boozy odor. It's a dumb alcoholic myth that vodka is odorless. Your coworkers don't want to make your problem theirs.
>>
Past a certain point they can smell it on your blood. As your lungs exchange gasses the alcohol is detectable. It's unfortunate, I cope with insomnia by drinking and it's still detectable sometimes as I leave for work. You will smell of booze until your body has cleared it, there is no way to hide it or cover up. If you are as incel this is not too bad of a thing though. Incels tend to be better than most people by a significant margin. Think of how many people you meet per day who are objectively worth less as a person than you are. Probably all of them. Apply the same idea at work. You don't have to outrun the bear, just the person closest to you. I survive by being good at my job, clothes are usually clean, and performance is always better than the worst employee's. And if you lose your job I'm sure there's stuff you need to do around home. A vacation for a few weeks might even be kind of nice.
