He is annoying and just straight up a miserable bad person. At first I thought there would be a good explanation for his behaviour but after watching the last epside its clear that he is a worthless piece of shit for no good reason. If his real life counter part is anything like him he should have just killed himself so we can have an actual happy ending.
Media is plagued by people who think a character being mischevious is deep and complex writing.
He's canonically a self-insert of Gooseworx and troons tend to be insufferable people
>>84871977I like him because he makes the circlejerking normies around him suffer.Sure he has tranny tendencies but he never acts on them.So he's a pretty cool guy in my book.
>>84871977if Jax looked like this people would call him an incel
>>84872006>I'm autistic and I'm going to make it everyone else's problem
>>84871977This character is just an embodiment of an existing character archetype that happens to be popular with audiences. So you can hypothesize he was rather cynically written in order to capitalize on existing predispositions of the audience. It's this jester archetype. The guy who doesn't take anything seriously, makes light in all situations with the primary purpose of enjoying himself, is psychopathic and prone to violence, but is also confident and very competent at what he does, which gives him this alluring charisma. If you want some examples, then look no further than e.g. The Joker from Batman, Vaas from Far Cry 3, or Flowey from Undertale. There's a billion more. All these characters are pieces of shit, but they are captivating and entertaining to watch, which is why the audience likes them.
>>84872048So why does audiences love someone like the joker but hate jax?
>>84871977They find his pessimism funny, he is tall and therefore attractive.
>>84872060normies like batman, mentally stunted retards like amazing digital circus. does that answer your question
>>84872060I was under the impression that Jax was one of the most popular characters on the show.
>>84872002Im not familiar with the creators, I just looked this Gooseworx person up and saw that its an agp rapehon, now it all makes sense
>>84872044Sadly I'm more of a doormat. I wish I were low inhib enough to be a Smooth Sanchez tier menace.Nevertheless I approve of anything or anyone who will shake up the self-satisfied existence of your average normalfag. If I had been caught in the position of Jax, I would've fucked with them all even harder.
>>84872122All I see these days are people shitting on him.
>>84872174You may find a character very entertaining to the point of him being one of your favorites on a show and still think he's a piece of shit.
>>84872006>Sure he has tranny tendencies but he never acts on them.literally confirmed trans, in the finale "isnt she lovely" referring to jax with a pink ribbon
>>84872209>They hamfisted the idea in at the last second so that means he was trans the whole time.>If a girl ever put a bow on your head for fun that means your trans. That was a social media stunt for engagement and inclusivity.
>>84872197What I see is more of a visceral type of hate. And, it's funny, people were largely okay with him back when they only got to see his asshole persona and nothing else. It's when he increasingly would let on his vulnerable side people started flipping their shit for real over him.But yeah. That's how humans work. If you are a guy anyway.
>>84872209And, he threw it away in the end.Which he should get credit for.
>>84871977>ai makes a digital paradise>puts 2 trannies and 2 homos in it>becomes digital hellwhat did trannyworx mean by this?
>>84872277I mean, I can hypothesize why this hostile shift in attitude happened. Maybe it's indeed because the curtain was pulled back too much, which undermined the character's adherence to the appealing archetype. Maybe people grew attached to him and wanted to see some kind of redemption arc, which didn't quite happen. What I don't think this is about is just him acting like a piece of shit. People love characters like this who did way worse shit. Maybe it's in conjunction with the other thing.
>>84872271>hamfisted the ideajexs struggle with identity is across the whole show
>>84872327I just think it's ironic that the more the show opened up about him, the more people hated him. While the entire message was to open up about your traumas, make yourself vulnerable (and also troon out).I think the real lesson here lies in the meta. But in these parts it's old knowledge that making yourself vulnerable always is a bad idea. That is, if you have a dick.
why do people even watch that show for actual deficients? if it weren't streamed online one would reasonably think it's a show for childrenbeing losers doesn't impede any of you to have good media taste
>>84872427it is fun seeing an ai torment troons in an "i have no mouth but i must scream" meets "hyperion" digital torture chamber from which there is no escape
>>84872427Well whenever I attempt to discuss good media on this website, interest is lukewarm at best.Beggars can't be choosers. Autismbait it is.At any rate it's better than the unending stream of coomposts and relationshit threads.
>>84872209Blaming Jax for Ribbit's abstraction is fucking stupid.
>>84872312KekReally makes you think
>>84871977pomni getting a good ending annoyed me. she would suck up to the next abusive pest that finds itself in their digital hell-hole and probably get someone abstracted if the show continued. disappointing.
>>84871977>"HUURRR HE DESERVES EVERYTHING HE GETS">How to tell if your viewers are underage
>>84871977He had absolutely 0 reason to be that cold to ribbit. They needed much more time or much more brainpower to come up with something that wasnt essentially just 'stuck up prick'
