I'm 33 and still severely mentally ill. I live with my parents and have never had sex or a girlfriend because of aforementioned mental issues. My fight or flight response is so haywire that I can't talk to people like a normal person, no matter who it is. I'm overanalyzing everything as if it's 3000BC and I'm about to be anal gaped by a sabertooth tiger. I really care what people think about me. I have low self-confidence, no matter my accomplishments. I constantly need validation and seek approval to *make sure*. I'm obsessed with how I look to others. I have ADHD. sounds like you struggle adhd + a sprinkle of autism. A high functioning/high masking autistic person often relies heavily on validation and seeking approval "to make sure" they are masking and blending in properly. This also makes them very sensitive to critique, and it can often lead to negative self esteem due to over analyzing own behaviour etc all the time. You should read about it if you think it applies to you, it helped me a lot to learn more about it and understand the psychology. AutismFromTheInside is a good yt channel that's not too annoying and not a "look at me im autistic" *rainbow coloured hair* etc.
