>>
>>84886071
they're just edgelords who never grew out of it and have no grasp on religion as a concept
>>
>>84886091

>>
>>84886106
one of my friends used to be a satanist and he said it was stupid and they had them sell knives or something like that.

I would become a satanist for the sex magic desu
>>
>>84886071
I agree, I think that's because they don't actually believe in it
Though whats more corny to me is that there are actual people who believe in demons, devils, possessions and so on
christians
>>
>>84886130
they're like sith they're literally give into the darkside sex magic
>>
>>84886117
>I would become a satanist for the sex magic desu
Might as well get into tantra or otto shit for that. No reason to become a satanist larper unless you specifically like the cringe girls that like that.
>>
>>84886071

Anton LaVey just liked attention. He was like one of those mega-church pastors but in reverse.

He made a big show about a religion he doesn't care about to get on TV and make a couple bucks selling controversial books.

Whad did Lucifer even do that was so wrong? Based on the actual scripture, not the fantasy randos like Milton added around it. Even if we accept he was the snake in the garden of Eden, then what? He's bad for showing us the distinction between good and evil and letting us make our own judgements? He showed us the way from NPC to PC.
>>
>>84886182
still falling for the oldest trick in the book?
>>
>>84886191
That would be the trick of God and carbon creation. /r9k/ should fully align with THE Rebel. Simple as.

I mostly notice you didn't answer, but keep listening to the pope. He has a direct line to God after all. :3

>Whad did Lucifer even do that was so wrong?
Based on a cursory google search, as I'm not a Christian, I looked up where Lucifer is mentioned. Lucifer is a Vulgate Latin translation of the nickname Light-Bearer, or Morning Star, which apparently was directed at the King/Nation of Babylon. Isaiah 14:12 is remarking at Babylonian pride and arrogance before God being the cause of it's/their fall from grace. Then it's a pretty obvious comparison to make between the "king of Babylon" and "the Devil"

>Even if we accept he was the snake in the garden of Eden, then what?
The garden of Eden, at least from the Christian philosophical point of view, is allegorical. Those that don't probably don't have the mental bandwidth to know what an allegory is. Jewish and Muslim scholars likewise don't even view it as literal history. So the serpent in the garden of Eden is, as he relates to the Babylonians, diabolical. Opposed to God.

Satanism as referred to in the OP is in reference to Satan, which is a devil that Christ himself actually spoke of, and is also referenced in Revelation.
>>
>>84886255
You're supposed to read the bible like a schizophrenic seeing Jesus and the Devil referenced everywhere.
>>
>>84886255
The Morning Star is Venus which is what led the wise men to Jesus in a rare astrological conjunction event.

I think we're all capable of intellectually understanding what beliefs entail even if we are not presently believers and I have found the preoccupation with Christianity being some kind of evil manipulation particularly irritating. I actually like the precepts of Christianity and find it charming but idk what to do because I don't exactly experience faith and belief in it, or anything really, and I also don't particularly feel compelled to make faith something I need in order to make sense of my life or the world around me.

>>84886299
Right which is why to proclaim yourself as the Morning Star like the King of Babylon to then lead your kingdom into ruination is probably why it was written in Isaiah 14:12 the way it was. Proclaiming divinity and deification of yourself = diabolical level hubris.

I don't disagree, but I also think you have failed to see my point. Lucifer Morning Star.

Let the record state that any attempt to ask for a simple concise and plain English explanation to someone who seems to be being ambiguous deliberately is labor lost.
>>
>>84886071
Satanism is extremely corny, it's basically "look MOM you can't make me go to church, HAIL SATAN HAHAHA what now!?" It's embarassing for anyone over the age of 20 to be a Satanist.
>>
>>84886572
I think if you can't glean my very obvious point from pic rel you shouldn't be discussing this in such a contemporary fashion.
>>
>>84886587
I have some ideas of what you mean that I'm withholding, because if the point is obvious and simple then it ought easily to be phrased in plain English

This is the information we have so far.

How many lines of text does this point require that you would stall for five posts and then devolve to calling me a chatbot for asking what you meant? You have some kind of depiction of Jesus/Hindu deity, all of the reverse image search results for which end up in facebook occultism.

So you just saw some bullshit on facebook and are now baiting with it on 4chubs? I mean, feel free to say otherwise if that's inaccurate

>>84886372
>I have found the preoccupation with Christianity being some kind of evil manipulation particularly irritating
It's frequently brought up because the concept of Original Sin is so difficult to square with the idea of an omniscient, omnipotent and all-loving God. A lot of people have read the Bible, or defenses of it like Paradise Lost and asked the perfectly reasonable question of why does God allow Adam to fall, and the most reasonable answer is that he wanted him to, because through the Fall ensures that Man is beholden to God and needs him to be saved.
Of course, people who understand the premise of Christianity that man is fundamentally flawed and needs God's grace to life him up from his imperfect state of being don't read the story that way, but it's one thing to understand that premise, and it's another to agree with it.

I think you might actually look like that picture. With your brains all squished up inside a skull too small. I see you trying to process the visual information and I commend you. I believe we learned in school that text isn't the only place where knowledge of things can be attained. That would be as foolish as saying all things can be taught or expressed through speech or text when they cannot be.
>>
>>84886709
I don't think any of the midwittery coming from these people comes from their honest interpretations of their reading, I don't think they read at all, none of them know what Paradise Lost even is, and that their characterization of God is analogous to the way redditors will derail a conversation about politics to make it known the evils of Bloompf

>>84886724
>I believe we learned in school that text isn't the only place where knowledge of things can be attained.
Right and we have determined that you are baiting on 4chubs with some facebook bullshit, run along
>>
>>84886763
I came to that realization on my own. I found that picture after doing my own research. You going out of your way to download/reverse search the picture to understand what it means and then continue to play dumb is pretty fuckin autistic, guy.
>>
>>84886763
That's a huge generalisation to make. The same argument has been made by more than just "those people" you're talking about.

>I found that picture after doing my own research
You just gave away the game
If you found that picture after doing research, which involved you interpreting syllogistic propositions represented by text,
Then not only should you be able to articulate the conclusion, but we would expect you to, because from even your own perspective the conclusion you're symbolizing with the image did not proceed from it.

>>84886805
Because it's mostly a pattern I've observed from internet posts from redditor screencaps and from the kind of retard on here that complains about christcucks, I'm willing to generalize.

Next time we find one of these people who are trying to square a proverbial circle, we'll see if they can spell the word concupiscence or even if it means anything to them. If they can't then they don't even know what they're talking about to begin with.
>>
>>84886906
Retard, I expected you to get it from the picture alone because it's a very simple concept and easier to explain visually.
>>
>>84887377
I did get it from the picture, I encapsulated and described you and your motive here perfectly.
>>
Satan is just a scapegoat in Christians' heads. In reality, Satan is just a demonized form of old deities, such as Pan. Satan is the best god.
>>
>>84886695
don't waste your time with >>>/x/ (meth) cookers, is that image real btw?

NTA, You sound like you've fried your brain from drugs to the point where you can't easily express ideas to strangers

>>84887799
The bible asserts this
>all the gods of the nations are idols
psalms 66:4-5
Which I interpret to mean, pagan nations worship idols, it also asserts
>Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

>Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
John 4:21-22
Which I interpret to mean, worship of idols is attributed to Satan
>>
>>84887842
idols are those icons or statues associated with worship,
pagan here just means "non-Christian religion"
>>
>>84887842
...lmao why is it I keep attracting these lanevass Christcucks all the time?!? Like sybau and eat some fucking shit. Lame ass retarded crayon-eating MFer.

Likely not it's just random chinese bullshit I have saved on my computer

There is no waste of time practicing English, you can find a utility in anything. With simple principled rhetoric I successfully turned a deliberately hostile frame back on itself and won my little internet fight. I give myself minus points a bit though because using a phrase like "syllogistic proposition" is a bit verbose and kinda redundant, could have just said proposition
>>
>>84886071
I mean demoniacs won't lecture you to your face about their religion like Christians, instead theyll try to deceive or pull some "akshully you agreed to this with me" bull to get you to go along with their religion. For all the "Christians are finger waggers who yell at everyone theyre going to hell", I've literally never met one like this. But I have met many many demoniacs who try to force their religion on others, usually through deception and force. Ironic since theyre so "dont tell me what to do its my free will!". I really don't care what religion you are but if you try to force and deceive someone into joining you, or you target innocents, then yeah you're the asshole. And the "satanic panic" stuff was just an example. I had no issues with them until they decided to have an issue with me.
